The group claimed trial to all charges.
Judge Rushan Lutfi Mohamed granted bail of RM3,000 with one surety for each of those charged and fixed May 3 for the next mention.
Jamal and the others were represented by Khairul Annuar Yussof and Izzat Zabir Sariff. Deputy public prosecutor Iskandar Ahmad prosecuted.
On the day of the incident, Jamal and and his group of red shirts were pursuing Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin as she and PKR members promoted the Bersih rally at the Ampang Point mall.
A scuffle then ensued, during which a blow allegedly landed on his face. Jamal suffered a bloody nose because of this.
