Tungku assemblyperson Mohd Suhaili Said died this afternoon at the Gleneagles Medical Centre in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. He was 56.
His sister, Ajarah, who confirmed the matter, said Mohd Suhaili died at 3.10pm due to liver cancer, and that his remains would be brought back to Kampung Remang in Lahad Datu, Sabah.
“I received the news from my nephew (Mohd Suhaili’s son) and was shocked to hear it because he had never shown any signs of illness before this.
“I plan to go to Kuala Lumpur tonight, but he (nephew) told us family members to wait here, as the body would be brought back this evening,” she said when contacted by Bernama.
It is understood the remains will be brought to Kampung Remang tomorrow before being buried at the Muslim cemetery in Kampung Segangan.
