The leave application of two Malaysians on death row in Singapore, K Datchinamurthy and S Prabagaran, to initiate proceedings in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) was dismissed by the High Court in Kuala Lumpur today.
"The court dismissed our application for leave on grounds that this is a matter that involves foreign policy and therefore the court should not interfere.
"We are disappointed. We think the court has the power (in this matter), so we will be appealing," their lawyer N Surendran told Malaysiakini today.
