Ministry of Domestic Trade Co-operatives and Consumerism today confirmed that sugar prices have been increased, effective yesterday.

In a statement released on its official Facebook today, the ministry said the new sugar price is set at RM2.95 per kg.

The increase of 11 sen is the first hike since Oct 25, 2013.
