Madinah Mohamad, who is slated to be the next auditor-general, should not be judged based on her husband Rizuan Abdul Hamid's loyalty to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, said DAP lawmaker Dr Tan Seng Giaw.
Tan, who is also the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) deputy chairperson, was responding to Ridzuan, who is Kepong Umno division chief, stating in 2015 that he "would die" for Najib.
"They are two different individuals. She should not be judged for what her husband said. You should direct (that issue) to her husband.
"You are (a) woman too, don't look down on women. You should bring credit to women, you have to say something good about women," the Kepong parliamentarian told Malaysiakini.
