Muslims must not celebrate Valentine's Day because it can lead to social ills, said Federal Territories mufti Zulkifli Mohamad al-Bakri.

To support his argument, Zulkifli cited government statistics which claimed that there were 526 cases of baby dumping between 2000 and 2015 and 16,270 teenage pregnancies between 2012 and 2015.
