Budget cuts at the Education Ministry has limited the access to the RM50 million maintenance and development allocations for Chinese primary schools for this year.

This was confirmed by Education Minister Mahdzir Khalid, according to today's evening edition of China Press.

He said that the matter might be resolved by the final week for this month.

"If it is not resolved (by then), ambil dulu mana yang ada (take what is available)," he was quoted as saying.
