The police have been urged to investigate former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad over his remark regarding a "prophet of Islam" during the DAP national convention on Sunday.

The report was lodged by Pertubuhan Nadi Rakyat Malaysia president Mohamad Rafi Awg Kechik, who alleged that Mahathir had violated Section 298 or 298A of the Penal Code and the Sedition Act 1948.
