Describing the conviction of PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli as a sad day for democracy in Malaysia, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail reiterated her call for the 1MDB audit report to be made public.

“Once again, I urge (Prime Minister) Najib Abdul Razak to show courage and allow the 1MDB report by the auditor-general to be declassified, especially since it was he who ordered for the report to be classified under the Official Secrets Act (OSA),” the opposition leader said in a media statement today.

Wan Azizah, who is also PKR president, was responding to Rafizi being slapped with a 18-month prison term for breaching the OSA.
