There is nothing new in the budget speech by former second finance minister and Tambun MP Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah and his torrent of questions regarding controversial government investment arm 1MDB, says Umno.

"There is nothing new brought up by Husni.

"Indeed the questions he asked were based on concerns brought up by the assumptions of certain parties, and he only wanted to know what the government would do if those came true," said party information chief Annuar Musa in a statement today.

He said the government will take note of the speech and questions asked, and that the authorities have no issues with explaining and clarifying the matter yet again.
