Electoral reform coalition Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah would be flagging off the Bersih 5 convoy from Kota Baru on Oct 1.

The seven-week convoy would also be simultaneously flagged off from five other locations in five states in the Peninsular, across 246 cities, towns and villages.

Convoy coordinator for the East Coast, Safwan Anang, said he was called for a meeting with the Kota Baru district police chief.
