Heritage activists and local residents have expressed grave concern over a Singapore property firm which has purchased many heritage buildings in George Town.

The areas concerned are in Lorong Bertam and Lebuh Noordin which are located at the edge of the George Town World Heritage site.

Twenty-six residents have been slapped with eviction notices since Aug 24, and told to vacate their premises on Sept 30.
