“Overreacting.” This what MCA secretary-general Ong Ka Chuan has to say about the police report that Geng Ustaz made against the Hokkien Associations of Malaysia.

Geng Ustaz lodged its police report yesterday against the associations for their move to gather signatures to oppose the proposed amendments to the Syariah Courts (Jurisdiction) Act, also known as Act 355.

Geng Ustaz accused the associations of contravening constitutional provisions guaranteeing the freedom of religion, and urged the police to investigate the Hokkien Associations of Malaysia under the Sedition Act.
