Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Ibrahim today met Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak at the latter's official residence in Sri Perdana, Putrajaya.
A photograph of the meeting was posted on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page, a platform which the crown prince uses to communicate his messages.
The photograph was coupled with a statement which described Tunku Ismail's as "conveying the views and voices of the rakyat".
"During the meeting, his royal highness crown prince of Johor, who was invited for evening tea, also discussed a few current issues related to politics and national matters," read the statement.
The meeting was also publicised on Najib's Facebook page.
Unlike other royalty, which tends to keep a low profile, Tunku Ismail has had a penchant for taking potshots at the federal government on Facebook.
He was previously embroiled in a public feud with Tourism Minister Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz who slammed the prince for being too vocal, including remarks made against the government.
