PAS has urged Muslims to steer clear of the Islamic State (IS) and other terror groups because their actions are against the religion.
Party deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said all religions prohibited extremism.
"In fighting for the religion and implementing Islam, Muslims cannot take the easy way out.
"Those who want quick victories will act aggressively and ignore all that is prohibited by Islam. This will only paint a wrong picture of Islam," he added in a media statement today.
Yesterday, police confirmed there were IS elements involved in the grenade blast at the Movida nightclub in Puchong on June 28.
Inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar also revealed that 15 individuals had been arrested in connection with terror-related activities.
Out of this, two of the suspects were related to the Puchong attack and had received instructions from a Malaysian citizen currently based in Syria, Muhamad Wanndy Muhamad Jedi.
Furthermore, two others arrested were low-ranking police personnel.
Meanwhile, Tuan Ibrahim said Khalid's admission that the two arrested were police personnel had somewhat affected public confidence in the police force.
"However, this is the time to stand united and to trust one another instead of blaming each other.
"PAS hopes the police will improve any weaknesses in their monitoring efforts and make the best preparation in curbing the IS threat from further destroying the country," he added.
