Former Kuala Lumpur CID chief Mat Zain Ibrahim says Annuar Musa can be investigated for providing false information on Facebook, which resulted in police reports being filed against Dr Mahathir Mohamad, as well as be investigated for criminal defamation.

Mat Zain said he had compared Mahathir's blog posting on Feb 3 and the Facebook posting of Annuar, who is Umno information chief, as reported by various media.
