Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem should have kept his meeting with the Election Commission (EC) under wraps, said PKR's Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar.

This is so that it would not make it seem like the EC is being told what to do by the chief minister, she explained.

"But I guess if it's confirmed, then we don't need the EC, huh? We just need a chief minister," she joked to reporters after flagging off the convoy tour for the 'Free Anwar' campaign in Segambut today.

Pointing out that Adenan had only proposed the dates for the Sarawak state elections to the EC, she added that he still should have done it "behind closed doors".
