Police investigations have revealed that a jealous ex-husband may be responsible for the arson attack which razed several cars at the Taman Jaya LRT station parking lot this afternoon.
According to police sources, the victim operates an eatery in the area.
It is believed the victim is a close friend of the suspect's ex-wife and the two knew each other since childhood.
"This not a terrorist attack where an explosive device was detonated. The public must stop spreading such rumours," a police source told

The source said the suspect had approached the victim's vehicle as the latter was about to return home.
"The suspect was initially wearing a helmet, but he removed it later. This allowed the victim to recognise him," he added.
Following this, the suspect threw a molotov cocktail at the victim's car and it burst into flames.
"The victim managed to escape and attempted to chase the suspect on foot but failed to catch him," said the source.
The fire then spread engulfing several other cars. Out of these, two cars were completely destroyed.
The source also said the police are tracing the suspect.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 435 which deals with mischief with fire or explosive substance.
It is learned that following further investigations, the police might reclassify the case under a more serious offence.
News of the fire circulated on Whatsapp and social media, with netizens wondering if it was caused by an explosion.
Soon after this, inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar denied there was a bomb explosion .
