Wan Azizah's no-confidence motion makes it to House

Opposition Leader Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail's motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is now in the Parliament Order Paper.

However, it is the last motion on the list, at number 31.

The earlier no-confidence motion filed against the prime minister by Hee Loy Sian (PKR-Petaling Jaya Selatan) is still on the list, at number 27.

Hee was the first to file the motion, but Pakatan Harapan then decided that Wan Azizah should be the one tabling the motion.

Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia has suggested that the opposition presents him with a list of those who would vote against Najib.

He said this is for him to propose to the government to push the motion higher up on the list.

Under House rules, government motions take precedent and must be tabled first.

Besides the motion of no confidence, another way proposed to boot out Najib is to vote down Budget 2016.

However, the opposition is divided on this, with PAS saying it will abstain from voting against the budget.
