Najib a tougher nut to crack for Mahathir

YOURSAY ‘But it looks like finally the chickens are coming home to roost.’

Mahathir: Who ordered killing of Altantuya?

JD Lovrenciear: Even though some (or even many) will not throw their weight behind former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad for the pertinent and grave issues he has given life to in his blog because they are upset with his 22-year reign, Malaysians must converge with him irrespective of their political or social leanings.

We need to step forward in unison if we truly believe that it is our moral and categorical duty to fight in defence of our national honour and dignity and sovereignty.

We cannot sit back and pretend “semuanya okay” or fall into the political rebuttals of “Mahathir wants to promote his son”.

In the best interest of the nation's future, patriotic citizens must seek even our revered and respected rulers to drop the screen of 'above politics' and help galvanise our conscience and duty to nation and Agong.

Keturunan Malaysia: Dear Mahathir, I would not care why you asked, "Who ordered the killing of Altantuya?" as much as I care that you are the one doing the asking.

Nowadays, any lesser person than you questioning the powers-that-be will carry no weight at all in just about anything, not to mention putting his/her freedom and/or life at risk.

Anonymous #21828131: Mahathir, I have been very critical of your many issues, articles, comments and methods. This one however gave me a feel-good feeling.

I agree with you, unlike the rest of the Umno chiefs who dare not comment on this issue. A life had been taken away cruelly and another two lives are on the line.

They are people who allegedly took orders and were misled to believe that what they did was for the security of the nation.

This is just like the recent letter by the ‘illustrious’ home minister to support the release of an alleged triad member/kingpin, and now swept under the carpet in the name of national security.

The same could have been the story spun to these innocent ‘murderers’ who would have thought that they were heroes in the making. Only God knows what had transpired.

But then the orchestra was being conducted by a super conductor. As the saying goes, "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely."

It looks like finally the chickens are coming home to roost. Hats off to you.

RakyatBiasa: Dr M, this is your final "duty calls" for your Motherland.

You may not be liked for your 22 years of dictatorial and oppressive reign, but you can be certain, the rakyat will look up to you with great honour and respect when the person who issued the order to murder Altantuya Shaariibuu is finally brought to justice.

Ace: Some of you think that this cunning unscrupulous old fox is trying to do Malaysia a favour? He's not. He's just trying to put his son on the throne.

Gordon Gecko: Better late than never. Many doubt Dr M's true intention to suddenly raise this controversial issue, but I don't care.

In the famous word of China's late Deng Xiaoping, "It doesn't matter whether a cat is white or black, as long as it catches mice."

In this case, Dr M's heart may be black or white - we don't know. All I know is justice must be done and all the "dirty rats" still scrounging around Malaysia's corridors of power must be trapped and exterminated.

Yaa Lorrrr: If today we cheer Malaysians who stand up for what they believe to be true, please then remember the late Ani Arope who passed away last year.

The 82-year-old stood up for what he believed in and against Malaysia's most powerful prime minister ever back in 1996.

Rather than sign off on generous power purchasing agreements with independent power producers in 1995, Ani quit as executive chairman of utility giant Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).

Lin Wenquan: It appears that the knives are being drawn for the coup de grace. This old man may have some juicy but incriminating information up his sleeve to nail the the perpetrators of this ghastly crime.

His cleverly disguised matter-of-fact queries are a teaser of more exposes to come. This is going to be a more exciting cliffhanger than the final episode of the erstwhile popular TV series 'Dallas' when it screamed "Who killed JR?"

Negarawan: Indeed, Mahathir is finally using the silver bullet. The motive and real masterminds behind Altantuya's murder must be revealed.

Onepen: It is ‘Ma’ as Saguni (a diabolical character in ‘Mahabharatha’) at his best. Like Machiavelli.

Now that the Goods and Services tax (GST) has come to pass, meaning ‘Na’ has refused to be cowed by threats by ‘Ma’ and his allies like ‘Ka’, ‘Ma’ has decided to use his trump card: Altantuya.

The plot is getting more intriguing. You never know who is going to write the next script and determine the next course of action.

Altantuya is Dr M’s last card to oust Najib
