YOURSAY ‘Mahathir better play it judiciously otherwise Najib can still beat him.’
Mahathir: Who ordered killing of Altantuya?
Odin: The identity of the one who ordered the killing of the late Altantuya Shaariibuu and the total annihilation of her person is very easy to deduce.
Simply figure out the answers to the following questions:
1) Who is the person who has gained hundreds and thousands of millions in kickbacks and marked-up prices from the purchase of defence equipment and from the sale of naval secrets to a foreign party?
2) Who has had access to the naval secrets sold to the foreign party?
3) Who has had the authority to order the removal of the record of Altantuya's ingress into Malaysia?
4) Who stands to be hanged from the gallows were the murder case pursued diligently and the case was tried by an independent court of law - that is to say, a court of law presided over by honest judges?
Besides the main culprit, several other parties are understandably anxious to put a stop to a real investigation into the most heinous of crimes and for the case to be heard by honest judges. These parties have abetted in the abominable act and are thus liable to very heavy penalties.
Anonymous #85427712: Former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad must know the common law principle that silence of the accused is an acknowledgement of the accused's guilt. There must be an answer to a question.
If there is no answer, the accused must be blamed for not helping the law to right an injustice.
Justice delayed is justice denied not only to the victims of the accused but to each and every member of the public who are waiting to know the truth.
Anonymous #20513663: Quite plainly, of course there is an ulterior motive and everyone can see it. The ‘udang’ is in plain view, the ‘batu’ is transparent.
But this is all very good. Let's hope that with the infighting in Umno, the truth about many 'dark deeds' will be exposed.
We can hope that Mahathir exposes Altantuya's real murderer and more about 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), while PM Najib Razak 'cleans up' Projek IC and so on.
After Umno falls, we'll need truth and reconciliation commissions and the whole of Malaysian history needs to be rewritten.
Clongviews: This is the beginning of insinuations. Then comes the revelations. Followed by allegations. Finally, humiliation and resignations.
Don't play, play with Mahathir. He may have many ‘skeletons of Altantuya’ up his sleeves to be exposed slowly.
Legit: Interesting! Mahathir knows many of the Umno warlords have been greased so hard that they are all very entrenched in their support for Najib.
It is difficult to oust Najib as Umno president with this bunch of corrupted warlords firmly backing him up.
So here comes one of the last trump cards, but Mahathir better play it judiciously otherwise Najib can still beat him. He will use people's money without qualms to achieve what he wants.
Haveagreatday: Now that even this ex-PM has demanded that Sirul Azhar Umar's claims be investigated, let’s see what other ingenious reasons the police can come up with to continue not to do due diligence.
Let's not forget the murder during this leader's watch. Yes, he's sharpening his knife for that final plunge but if it allows the truth to be finally told, so be it.
GMK: Why we should still rely so much on our retired PM to drop the bombshell? Wasn’t it written on the wall? Who has failed the people of Malaysia?
Sirach: I'm no admirer of Mahathir but, like most right-thinking Malaysians, fully back his demand for accountability on the issues of the Altantuya murder and the 1MDB imbroglio.
The refusal of the attorney-general (AG) to appeal the acquittal of political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda (and former MCA chief Ling Liong Sik, I might add) is utterly baffling. They had no hesitation in appealing Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim's acquittal by the High Court.
The 1MDB issue demands an explanation from the PM. His sidestepping and waffling have brought no credit to him or the government. Only Mahathir has the standing to speak so boldly on these issues and not face a backlash. Sadly so.
Discovery: We all know who ordered the killings. Umno is taking the rakyat for fools as if we can't add two and two.
In fact, the riddle behind who ordered the killing is easy to resolve, it's easier than adding two and two.
Bystander: The inspector-general of police (IGP) should arrest Mathathir for being seditious by insinuating someone higher up ordered the killing of Altantuya.
However, let him wear shoes.
Najib a tougher nut to crack for Mahathir
