Security checks at airports give Bung Moktar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) the heebie-jeebies.

Airing his grouses in a speech at the Dewan Rakyat, Bung said he would not complaint so much if those frisking him during checks are female.

According to the Sabah MP, more developed countries use scanners for security checks instead of "squeezing" passengers.

"Why are they feeling people up? In Sabah, we call this squeezing ( meramas ).

"Getting felt up like this grosses me out (geli) . It would be different if it is a woman doing the touching," he said.

He added that the security personnel also do not have a uniformed way of conducting body checks.

"How much does it cost to train these airport police to feel people up. Different cops frisk people differently.

"There are all sorts of ways of touching…some are rough while some are tender," he said.

He suggested that instead of having the personnel frisk passengers, it is better for Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) to install scanning machines for the purpose.

"Getting felt up really grosses me out. Stroking here and there can arouse sexual desire, so please, buy body scanners to do the job," he said.

He was, however, cut short by Deputy Speaker Ismail Mohamed Said.

"Please speed up on this feeling up issue," Ismail told Bung Moktar.
