YOURSAY ‘Crucial leads and findings about MH370 all have been made by foreign nations.’

Anonymous_3f4b: All armchair critics should realise by now that Malaysia does not have the expertise and experience to conduct the search operations in a wide area.
Malaysia only acts as coordinator to all assisting foreign countries. It is more practical to allow search and rescue (SAR) operations by countries nearest to the identified zone i.e. South Indian Ocean by Australia, Bay of Bengal by India and South China Sea/Gulf of Thailand by Vietnam/Thailand.
Malaysia also does not possess satellite technology capable of operating on land and sea unlike world powers like USA and China. This is understandable.
For better or for worse, Malaysia has done a good job as coordinator and has enlisted the help of more than 20 countries to help in the SAR operations.
This is the power of friendly foreign relations as Malaysia has no enemies and no hidden agenda.
Premier Najib Abdul Razak must be praised for his foreign public relations and Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein also, for calm and composed standalone press conferences in the midst of a hostile world press.
Negarawan: What type of "probe" and work is IGP Khalid Abu Bakar doing in the first place? So far, all the important and crucial leads and findings about MH370 have been made or prompted by foreign investigation bodies like the FBI and FAA, and also by foreign journalists.
As far as I can see, IGP Khalid is only interested in trying to see how Anwar Ibrahim can "fit" into the case to the benefit of his political master Umno.
FellowMalaysian: It is distressing to read that CNN had reported that some files could have been deleted by Malaysian investigators during their earlier round of examinations.
It seems our authorities and leaders who have been assigned to the tasks of handling the various investigation teams has fumbled miserably on one after another and this has brought huge embarrassment to the country.
If the foreign press reported on our incompetence and sheer lack of thoroughness in carrying out our tasks, Berita Harian has little credence to complain using grounds of lack of 'journalistic ethics'.
Syaf13: Let’s pray for the safety of MH370. No point of bashing and shaming. Let’s focus on the effort to find them. Salam and Insyallah .
Matthias Schilling: Hope the foreign government will find the missing plane soon; we do not trust our government at all. They are just playing hide and seek. We are all sick with this Umno government which has been 50 years in power.
Justice denied: Honourable IGP, I salute you if you can be like Australian premier Tony Abbot and refrain from politics, catch all the corrupt and solve crime, instead of turning a blind eye to the misdeeds in this country.
Fairnessforall: "They surely know the history of the Air France incident which also took a long time (to find the plane) but it is as if they are jealous of Malaysia's unity as a result of this incident," another person, a housewife, is quoted saying in the report."…LOL...jealous of Malaysia's unity?
Is this a joke or what? Any idiot can see the idiots making blunder after blunder and contradicting each other. Whoever this housewife is, she probably does not know the meaning of jealous.
People are jealous only of those who are better off than them. And as far as Malaysia is concerned, we are run by idiots, so who would want to be jealous of us?

Doc: It seems to me the Aussie PM is in command of the search and rescue of MH370. I guess the Australians are felling so sorry for the grieving relatives of MH370 suffering in the hands of the bungling Malaysian government so they have taken over and are spearheading the recovery efforts.
Fernz: In the wake of the Flight MH370 tragedy, the government should take stern action against those spreading hate at madrasahs and mosques.
We don't want Muslim time-bombs in the country. The government should also distance itself from those Muslims and lunatic fringe group NGOs who claim that Allah is exclusive to them. Articles 3, 4, 10, 11 and 12 of the constitution, read together, shows that the federation is a secular one.
The government should also stop the politicisation of the judiciary and attempts to rewrite the secular constitution and attempts to introduce elements of Islamisation and desecularisation through the judiciary.
Fourtan: Huh? Is Abbott the premier of Malaysia or Najib Abdul Razak? Where's Najib?
EvenSteven: The sad thing about all this is, if the debris indeed is part of the ill-fated aircraft, it means the passengers are done for. If it is not, and the aircraft remains missing, there will be no closure for the families of the passengers until the plane is found. Either way is not good news. Sad, very sad.
Hang Tuah PJ: Agree with Negarawan. Malaysians, especially Muslims like myself, should take note that most of the countries helping tirelessly in this tragedy are 'kafir' countries.
Even in our own country zakat/baitulmal is only for Muslims. See the difference. That is why someone said the west is more Islamic than Muslims, not just here but in the Arabic world also. Here it is more in norm that in spirit.
Fair Play: Hang Tuah PJ, this comment is posted more in sorrow than in anger. As a Malaysian (race or religion is irrelevant), this is why our nation would not be able to make progress and take its rightful place among peers like Singapore, Korea, Japan, etc. Soon Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines and perhaps even Cambodia would overtake us.
Negarawan: Tony Abbott, for his genuine concern and massive support for the victims and families of MH370, and the many encouraging and courageous statements that he has made in the Australian parliament and public, has clearly shown that he is doing what a true premier should be doing.
Tony Abbott would make a much better Malaysian premier than Najib. Mr Abbott, my fellow Malaysians and I salute you for showing leadership when it is much needed.
