YOURSAY ‘Can the rakyat file a complaint regarding PM Najib's wife Rosmah's luxury lifestyle and huge handbag collections?'
Don't be 'demo-crazy', Ku Nan tells angry KL-ites
Onyourtoes: Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, or Ku Nan, don't be stupid. Pakatan Rakyat Kuala Lumpur MPs are not "agents of confusion" as you described. They represent the will of the absolute majority of the people of Kuala Lumpur.
If we have true democracy, anyone of them would have been appointed minister instead of you, a shameless no locus standi person elected by a handful of people who know not what paying taxes is all about.
If you are a competent minister, you would not have started the problem and then pretend to resolve it.
Are you stupid or arrogant to impose more than 200 percent increase in assessment rate without consultation? Why can't the people show their displeasure when you are not known to understand reasons and arguments rationally and professionally?
Fair&Just: World Bank already said 2014 will be a very tough year for Malaysians but not the ministers as they are rich through corruption.
The rakyat are facing electricity tariff hikes, GST (goods and services tax), taxes hikes, etc, in 2014 and 2015 and many will be suffering and could even be facing dire financial difficulties.
Demonstrations to bring down the cost of living is the right of the rakyat against a corrupt and tyrannical government.
CQ MUAR: Ku Nan, you were right that the demonstrations in Thailand caused the lost of billions - but did you also know the countless billions occurred due to illicit capital flight out of our country?
DBKL's property assessment hikes are absolutely ridiculous and exorbitant. Is this one of your strategies to raise the government coffers due to overspending or the expected bankruptcy because rakyat's money had been abused?
LKT: We are now in the 21st century, not 19th or 20th century. Any politician who thinks that their political position is a god-given right, they better think again. Don't ever think that they can steal or grab the rakyat's money without any repercussion.
If they cannot perform to the rakyat's expectation, they should just quit and ‘balik kampong'. Don't ever think that they can dictate to the rakyat in the 21st century and not expecting any adverse reaction. Tengku Adnan is the crazy one, not KL-lites.
Balachan Cili: Ku Nan, the rakyat have awaken, they no longer allow the powers-that-be to bully them into submission. Take to the street is the only venue to make the BN leaders listen to the ordinary people of this Bolehland, get it?
Call Me Jibby: If complaints and feedback are sufficient, there won't be increases in sugar price, petrol, electricity, toll rates and the introduction of GST.
Can the rakyat file a complaint regarding Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's wife Rosmah Mansor's luxury lifestyle, huge handbag collections and her shopping spree? As if the governing politicians are concerned about the livelihood of the common rakyat.
Pputeh: Ku Na, you caused this problem by increasing the rates, so now face the music. It's time for BN supporters to organise a protest march, a tit-for-tat march against the Selangor MB and his team for taking a 200-300 percent pay rise. What's good for the goose is sauce for the gander.
Pemerhati: Now it is even more important for the affected KL people to turn up in large numbers at the rally.
Because if only a small number show up at the rally, Ku Nan is not going to say that the KL people are not ‘demo-crazy', but this typical fork tongued Umno minister is likely to say:
"The silent majority did not turn up at the rally and this clearly shows that the proposed rise is reasonable.
"The few people that turned up are the usual opposition troublemakers and many of them do not even stay in Kuala Lumpur."
Anonymous #37634848: Ku Nan. Behave like a people's representative, not a ruler. You are tax-crazy. Stop flip-flopping in your statements.
DBKL (Kuala Lumpur City Hall) has asked for protest notes. KL people are going there together to submit their letters before the deadline. That is not a 'demonstration'.
Mushiro: If there was an election for the Federal Territories minister, obviously Tengku Adnan or any Umno candidate will lose. But the mockery of our democracy allows for Umno to take this position. It is frustrating for KLites The ‘demonstration' will convey this message.
Doc: With the ever increasing number of idiotic Umno politicians, for which Ku Nan is one of them, the point of having logical meetings and letter writing campaigns has long passed.
The only thing left to do is to take to the streets to make it known to Najib and his brainless bunch the rakyat have had enough.
If these idiots can't talk sensibility, what makes us think that they can read and understand the thousands upon thousands of ‘surat bantahans' (protest letters).
Anonymous #40538199: Is he aware that he represents the least numbers of voters in Wilayah Persekutuan?
Fair Play: Never underestimate the might of the rakyat. Therefore, be afraid, very afraid of their potency.
