Who are the real traitors, if not Umno members?

YOURSAY 'There are so many instances of traitorous actions being committed by Umno/BN that Zahid Hamidi should look internally before spouting his infernal rubbish.'

'Those who caused losses in Pengerang are traitors'

your say, Yoursay Old Timer: This must be a serious disease of the Malaysian government-linked companies (GLCs). Every time they lose money, somebody else is to blame. Bank Negara lost billions in foreign currency speculation, and it blamed American businessman George Soros. The former Bank Bumiputra lost millions of ringgit, and somebody also got blamed.

Now they blame "traitors" for the Petronas Pengerang project's losses. It seems the whole world is against Malaysian GLCs. Sad, and tragic, isn't it? By the way, why is the home minister talking about money loss, instead of home security?

Anonymous_40ca: According to Umno vice-president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, if campaigning against a project like the Pengerang petrochemical project that leads to losing foreign investment is akin to committing treason, then those campaigning for the project must be infidels for selling out Islamic investments to a non-Islamic country.

Relevancy: How can one be called a traitor when one's home is about to be destroyed by invaders (foreign investors)? The government is supposed to protect them, not align itself with the enemies. If the government aligns with the enemy, then basically the government is the traitor.

Well Thats Fantastic: Perhaps the foreign investment in Petronas stopped because of community and environmental concerns, and this has cost the country billions? How much has all the environmental raping of our beautiful country cost us, not just as a country but as part of the global ecology?

These Umno people are nothing less than monsters justifying their actions through lies, with the motive of enriching themselves and their families.

Wira: We should not encourage dirty industries that alter the course of nature. I wonder which hero in Umno the residents living next to the Asian Rare Earths plant in Bukit Merah should thank (for the environmental damage).

Soon: Those who benefit from the suffering of the people arising from the state's incompetent management and lackadaisical attitude of the plant's operational conditions, social and environment issues should be lined up for the gas chamber.

SomebodyElse: I have no idea where you studied, Zahid, but you surely don't know the definition and usage of the words "treason" and "traitor".

Ah Hoe: This man likes to call people traitors, but wasn't he a traitor to former Umno president Dr Mahathir Mohamad when he was Umno Youth chief and an Anwar Ibrahim ally? He had then accused Dr Mahathir of nepotism and cronyism, but Dr Mahathir turned the tables around on him by showing a list of beneficiaries of government handouts who were related to and cronies of this man.

So when he was in trouble over his treachery in attempting to unseat Dr Mahathir and about to be expelled from Umno together with Anwar, he did a 180-degree turn to bite his mentor Anwar Ibrahim and changed his allegiance to Dr Mahathir, even shamelessly claiming Dr Mahathir was like a father to him.

This man has no scruples or loyalty and should be the last person to ever call anyone a traitor

Not Confused: Virtually all the traitors in Malaysia are Umno card-carrying members. There are so many instances of traitorous actions being committed by Umno/BN that Zahid Hamidi should look internally before spouting his infernal rubbish.

Giving Malaysian ICs to foreigners by the thousands, allowing intruders from Sulu to invade and colonise parts of Sabah without taking any initial action, taking bribes from foreign countries to do business here and a myriad of other actions make Umno the most traitorous party in Malaysia.

Baiyuensheng: Umno members are the real traitors, for allowing foreigners to kill our security personnel, for selling out citizenships, for losing Pulau Batu Puteh to Singapore, for allowing Lynas to radiate the country, for corruption, for losing our reserves by dabbling in the money market, for purchasing substandard military equipment and hence putting our soldiers in danger, etc.

Boonpou: Those who have committed treason are not those who question the integrity of Petronas but those who have been plundering the wealth of the nation to enrich themselves. Petronas is one of the people's richest companies in Malaysia but the rakyat have not benefited a sen from it.

All Petronas does is to enrich the elites within Umno at the expense of oil-producing states. It also benefited the elites, who used Petronas money to fund such things as the Formula One races. Not forgetting, of course, it pays Mahathir handsomely as its number one consultant.

What a joke. Enough of the circus, Petronas, Permandu and what not. What Malaysia can no longer have are idiots who become ministers of this or that. Seriously, within Umno, only one stands out as a valid minister. As much as I hate to say this, it is Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin. The rest are simply idiots.

Swipenter: Zahid, you talk about people committing treason, so can you tell us whether activities such as the following are treasonous or not?

1) Those who had stolen billions of ringgit from the country and squirrelled it in overseas secret bank accounts and assets?

2) Those who had masterminded Project IC and those who are selling fake/lost/stolen ICs to foreigners?

3) Those in government who had dabbled in forex and tin causing us billions of ringgit in losses?

4) Those who had bought "useless" military hardware and supplied substandard boots, parkas and rations for our national defence and soldiers?

5) Those who had approved the Lynas rare earths plant when the investor's own country is not keen for this to be set up in their own backyard because of huge potential for environment pollution and toxic damage to human health? And so on and so forth?

KSD:

The biggest traitor is the Javanese who is an Indonesian national in Indonesia and a Malay ultra in Malaysia. The biggest traitor is the home minister who is the patron of one of the most violent gangs in Malaysia. The biggest traitor is the politician who beats up people on a whim. The biggest traitor is the man who lets an anonymous blogger known for spewing lies gain entry into a Malaysian navy submarine. Want me to go on, Zahid?

Geronimo: Do we have to listen to all this crap? I think we should redirect the statement back to this bloke. Those who have allowed illegal immigrants to invade our shores and at the same time, issued them MyKads have definitely committed treason.

Those who had once called the royalty 'binatang' have committed treason. Those who had plotted to lose our island to Singapore have committed treason. Those who are robbing the rakyat dry are committing treason. So Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, if I were you, I would just shut up instead of putting my foot in my mouth.

Trublumalaysian: There is stupid, and then, there is Zahid. Peas in a pod.
