YOURSAY 'By tearing up the motion tabled by Pakatan and by refusing to debate Fuziah's motion, BN MPs have clearly shown their lack of concern for good governance.'
Paper shredder Bung leads BN MPs in tit for tat
Versey: All right-thinking rakyat will have no problem in discerning the difference between the motions tabled by both sides of the political fence, but the BN MPs seemed to lack the ability to differentiate what is right and wrong.
Judging from the past performances of Kinabatangan MP Bung Mokhtar Radin in Parliament - and yet despite this, he was re-elected by his constituents - I shudder to think that this bunch of monkey-like politicians are being mandated by us to be the country's lawmakers, time and again.
Onlooker: The two motions are completely different as are the circumstances. The Pakatan Rakyat representatives weren't protesting a technical error, they were protesting the motion itself (the six-month suspension of Padang Serai MP N Surendran).
Bung Mokhtar's protest was over a technical error which could easily have been amended with a little goodwill before it is debated. His action was childish and this was completely unparliamentary behaviour.
James1067: The hard-earned money of the rakyat is being used to pay three retired ministers and their officers. Bung Mokhtar, how long do you expect the public to tolerate this wastage?
Instead of coming up with serious actions to remedy the issue, you turned into a comical circus. No wonder our coffers are drying up faster than we can even wink these days.
Kawak: All taxpayers in Malaysia should take note that our money has been used to pay for Umno leaders as special advisers in the PM's Department.
What sort of value-added services do these individuals performed to take our hard-earned money?
LKT: Kinabatangan is made up of only 24,747 voters (including many ‘tipu-tipu' Sabahans from Sulu, Pakistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, etc) while Pandan represents 83,936 voters (99.9 percent genuine Malaysians).
Yet Bung Mokhtar has the gall to act like ‘taiko' in the of house of Malaysian people's representatives. He is a bully. I bet he is nothing but a coward behind that fancy suit.
The way he kept shouting "tipu" in attempting to drown out Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli shows that he has no human decency at all. He should be ashamed of his behaviour.
Hot Khong: How childish can our MPs get, especially Bung Mokhtar. If I behaved like Bung Mokhtar in my office, I am pretty sure I would be referred to the Human Resources Department, given a show-cause letter and be severely disciplined.
Yet, in the august Malaysian Parliment, these so-called leaders behave worse than spoilt kids in a busy restaurant.
The Rover: This is a case of monkey see, monkey do.
Onyourtoes: Blatant stupidity and depravity are clearly shown by BN MPs in Parliament. Pakatan MPs have done nothing wrong. They have every reason to tear up the motion to suspend Surendran, which was clearly an abuse of power by the speaker.
The speaker knew BN MPs would be stupid enough to support him. On Thursday, BN MPs are the biggest losers - it shows their stupidity, their lack of conscience and their poor sense of fair play.
The MP from Kinabatangan thinks he was smart by imitating the antic of Pakatan MPs earlier.
By tearing up the motion tabled by Pakatan and by refusing to debate Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh's motion, BN MPs have clearly shown their lack of concern for good governance, prudence and financial management.
Fairplayer: MPs are supposed to carry out their responsibilities in a mature and professional manner. Why are our MPs and House speakers behaving like school bullies and spoilt brats? Disgraceful!
Ib: Putting aside the theatrics, clearly there is abuse of power by the House speaker. I hope people continue to talk to their folks at home about what is happening in the Parliament.
Justice will prevail only if the people want it to prevail and work hard to spread news about the current abuse.
Old Timer: Will Malaysia ever be a developed country with our MPs behaving like monkeys in the auspicious house of parliament.
Hello, these MPs are paid by the taxpayers' hard-earned money and elected by the people to serve the people?
B Lee: There is no respect for the speaker at all. Bung Mokhtar should be the one suspended instead of Surendran. As seen from the video, the speaker was helpless - he didn't even ask him to shut up.
Anonymous #30879322: The circus has come to town. The same chimpanzee is the main actor. What a show.
The rest of the world would certainly like to be entertained too. If you miss this one, no worries. There will be another.
Ace: I really sympathise with the likes of Rafizi, Fuziah, etc. It must be extremely frustrating.
If you don't know what I mean, the next time you go to a zoo or the Botanical Gardens in Penang, try debating with a group of monkeys.
