Perhaps Sabah and Sarawak should accept Isma's offer

YOURSAY 'Isma is asking all Sabahans and Sarawakians to emigrate, when Sabah and Sarawak belongs to them. How ridiculous can one get.'

'Not happy with Allah ruling? You can always move out'

your say, YoursayMilosevic: This is plain and simple Islamo-fascism, aiming to impress upon Muslims and non-Muslims that the Islamic religion, and indirectly the Malays, must be seen as the top dog.

This violates modern notions of citizenship, so it's understandable that non-Malays will be upset. But there is something sadder going on - this will only be a pyrrhic victory for the Muslim chauvinists.

Muslims around the world are already laughing at Malaysian Islam. More worrying is the continued failure of Muslim Malaysians to gain confidence in living in a pluralistic world of competing ideas. They will remain a frightened people, undoubtedly benefitting Umno.

This political judgement will not remove all the challenges besieging feeble religious minds, such as the arbitrary nature of religion and the non-falsifiability of competing versions of divinity.

Muslim Malaysians are being led into a downward spiral. Also, why alienate non-Muslims, whose industry and rationality support these imbecilic Muslim leaders.

Fire_rock: President Sukarno, the founding father of Indonesia in his wisdom formulated Pancasila. Indonesia, being the most populous Muslim nation in the world, is a secular country.

Indonesian political masters understand that to the east of Java are non-Muslim states starting with Bali which is Hindu and the rest being Christians. Insurgencies had been fought to keep the nation intact.

Likewise in Malaysia, Sarawak and Sabah are predominately non-Muslim. Urging Christians to emigrate is as good as urging the people there to withdraw from the federation, hence this statement is most seditious.

Fairnsquare: It is most unIslamic for Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) to ask those unhappy with the court's ruling to emigrate.

Most Christians in Peninsular Malaysia worship in English and the question of using the term ‘Allah' does not arise. But the Sabahans and Sarawakians who worship in Bahasa are the ones impacted.

Isma is therefore asking all Sabahans and Sarawakians to emigrate, when Sabah and Sarawak belongs to them. How ridiculous can one get.

Geronimo: After the three judges, we have yet another idiot who thinks that the 'Allah' issue is a Malayan issue.

Isma president Abdullah Zaik Abdul Rahman, for your information, the natives of Sabah and Sarawak live in a land that belongs to them since time immemorial. So where do you want them to migrate to?

As for you, being a Malay, you are the actual ‘pendatang', maybe from one the small islands from Indonesia. Therefore, the one who should be migrating should be you, not our native brethren from East Malaysia. Get it?

Fair&Just: In view of the all the breaches of the 18-point/20-point Agreement including the recent ‘Allah' issue, Sabah and Sarawak have the right to leave Bolehland and have independent autonomous rule, and many oppressed, suppressed, discriminated and deprived minorities (especially those poor but talented ones) from the peninsula will emigrate to both countries to fervently (release of pent-up frustrations and dissatisfaction) help develop free Sabah and Sarawak quickly.

Sephen_3f0a: The people of Sabah and Sarawak, especially their parliament representatives; what are you waiting for? This is your opportunity. Demand your right to autonomy now so you can live in peace and call your god whatever you want.

Tholu: When we have morons like Abdullah Zaik, how are we to achieve true racial and religious harmony in this country?

He so stupidly seems to be saying that if we espouse religions other than Islam, we are disloyal to the country and the king. It won't be long before he next says, ‘Everyone should be a Muslim if he wishes to call this country his motherland.'

Lamborghini: Abdullah Zaik, in case you have forgotten, this country rightfully belongs to all of us Malaysians and especially the Orang Asal and not just the Malays.

Sabah and Sarawak agreed to form Malaysia with Malaya only after the written assurance and guarantee that there will be total freedom of religion and Islam is only the official religion. Bigots like you have turned "official religion" for ceremonial purposes to "supremacy of religion" where minorities must ‘kowtow' to or migrate.

We never ever agreed to supremacy of Islam. We only agreed to Islam as the official religion. So please don't twist historical facts for your own personal agenda.

Disbeliever: Abdullah Zaik, you are nothing but a racist. Each time when confronted by such a challenge, you and many others of your kind will always use your favourite tagline: "Not happy, leave the country."

Don't you know that like the government which appealed to the Court of Appeal, likewise the church can also appeal to the Federal Court.

If it fails in its appeal at the apex court, it will abide by not using the word 'Allah' in its publication, The Herald, but this does not by any means mean that Christians are banned from using the word 'Allah' in their worship.

Are you going to arrest all Christians (especially Sarawakians and Sabahans) who are spread out and live in Peninsular Malaysia too? Only people who are shallow-minded like you would issue such a statement.

I'm sure the majority of true peace-loving Muslims have no issue with the Christians on this matter.

Ruben: That is the problem when we have fanatics like Abdullah Zaik. The rise of fanaticism is fuelled by Umno as it fights to win the Malay votes.

It is also a mockery to the often used statement that Malaysia is a model multi-religious and multi-racial country. Allah is great as this ruling will increase the faith of all Christians and also further unite us as children of Allah.

Kodak: Okay, we will do just that, emigrate. Enough is enough. We have been fools working hard and paying taxes to the government who pay your salary to shout at us to get out of this country. We are talking about rights and you are shouting nonsense.
