EC, time for meeting over, see you in court

YOURSAY 'No compromises, the EC heads have got to go. No point talking to them - as if we didn't do enough of that before the election?'

EC ready to meet Rafizi on fraud claims

your say FairGame: Is the Election Commission (EC) sincere in wanting to meet Pandan MP and PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli? Now that the evidence is coming in and police reports have being made, the EC has backtracked and is willing to "meet and discuss".

Why the initial strong denials from the EC and its defensive attitude? Or has truth prevailed and further denials futile?

Rafizi, please don't let EC take the rakyat for a ride, and above all, don't let the EC treat us as fools.

Anonymous #33877536: EC, you can deny and keep on denying. The complaints are not one but in hundreds. They can't be all wrong.

Paul Tino: No compromises, the EC heads have got to go. No point talking to them - as if we didn't do enough of that before the election?

SpongeBob: EC willing to meet is one thing but are you willing to accept the facts if proven true? Don't run to TV3, Astro Awani, Bernama and Utusan Malaysia to say that all the facts are manufactured.

Doc: "EC is really sincere in carrying out the duties given," said EC deputy chief Wan Ahmad Wan Omar. And what are these duties, Wan Ahmad?

1) Helping Umno win GE13 with whatever means necessary, including outright cheating.

2) Conning the rakyat out of their basic rights as enshrined in the constitution.

3) Defacing Malaysian democracy.

4) Vandalising the sanctity of the ballot.

5) Insulting the intelligent of the Malaysian people with nonsensical rhetoric from you and the EC chief.

Pahatian: Like Bersih's S Ambiga said, "Just the indelible ink is enough to show there is fraud."

Yes, just the ink alone and they cannot even provide any satisfactory answer, what more about the rest. And also, if there is no report, it doesn't mean it didn't happen at all.

Don't just brush aside everything that is thrown at the EC. What if it is proven that the blackouts did happened? Of course, the EC officials would not make a report as they were conspiring to make it happened in the first place.

Rafizi, please do not meet them. It will be a waste of time. You will still get the same replies. Just let the courts settle the complaints.

Heavywater: The EC commissioners should all resign. Let the new EC look into all the problems. There is no way that the current EC will admit that they are wrong or corrupted.

Bamboo: We Malaysians more or less know about the EC's old tricks of stuffing/changing ballot boxes, blackouts during vote-counting and of course, the tainted electoral rolls.

Only in previous general elections no one made the effort to gather evidence. Now that Rafizi has provided some concrete evidence, like votes not tallying, along with photos and police reports, I am waiting to see the circus show of the EC giving excuses.

CHKS: Rafizi, don't meet and discuss with them in private. Have a debate or to use a more neutral word, have a public ‘forum' and broadcast it live.

Whatsup: Caution, Rafizi. These cheats suddenly want to meet after all that had happened, and reports have been lodged.

We sure don't want the cases against them thrown out by the court on technicalities. The time for meetings is over. These two EC clowns have to resign.

They had refused to meet or to publicly show the indelible ink before GE13. And after the election, they kept denying irregularities despite stark incriminating evidence, and even claimed that an incriminating photo was staged .

It would be a waste of time to meet such people, especially now.

James1067: Why should Rafizi show all his cards to the EC to allow them to prepare for the various cases he intends to file in court? After all, the EC cannot make any changes to the results.

Rakyat-in-Grief: The EC chief and his deputy has lost all credibility. They have no right to be in their positions since they have failed to conduct a fair election.

They think the rakyat are fools to believe their blatant lies. They talk like idiots. If they had an atom of integrity, they should have submitted their resignations by now; instead of blabbering again and again with their made-up stories.

The EC coming under the purview of the ruling party itself is good enough reason to believe that they will be biased against the opposition since they have to favour their masters.

Can the referee in a football match come from one of the contesting teams? This is ridiculous. What law is this?

Ramsingh: If the EC is sincere as you claim, then why there are mystery voters with addresses without the knowledge of the house owners?
