Guidelines to identify gay and lesbian symptoms published

Chee Hoe Siew: So these are symptoms of gays and lesbians? How stupid can the Education Ministry get? I think the first thing the ministry should do is to close down all the gyms because it's full of gays there - they just love showing off their bodies.

Armies should be disbanded because they are full of men and really short on women. Some may not be able to control their sexual urges and will act on their teammates.

Furthermore, they should ban some religions too because they encourage segregation of sexes and therefore more prone to producing gays and lesbians.

To further overcome gay and lesbianism, the government should also promote orgies and polygamists to ensure more opportunities for heterosexual contact.

Lastly, just tell me, even if you discover your child is gay, can you really do anything about it?

All those ministers are still in state of denial. They just can't accept lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgenders (LGBT) are God's creatures and something one is born with, not a choice.

I have friends who have declared that they are gays and lesbians and they definitely do not fit the bill here.

And besides, what's wrong with LBGT? They are also humans. Is it their fault that they are born like that? The ministry has got nothing better to do? Again Malaysia proves to be the laughing stock for the whole world.

YF: Why are we subjecting our kids to another round of segregation? First we have race, then merit and now sexual orientation? What next? Political inclination?

For goodness sake, these are kids, have a heart and sensitivity in handling such matters. Why the holier-than-thou attitude?

Personally I do not think this is a major problem in schools and can be resolved by the counsellors (provided they are well-trained on this).

Being in education, they should strive to teach parents and children alike to be inclusive. These guidelines are discriminatory and unfair to the young.

In the long run, they would encourage both parents and young people to victimise their friends. Do these people in the ministry have any brains at all?

Blind Freddo: So here's the perfect answer to all Malaysia's sexuality problems. Gay men put on weight and you will immediately become straight.

For lesbians, it's a bit harder because it means you have to show an interest in Malaysian men ... and that's a big ask.

NuckinFuts: Is there a part II to these guidelines? What do we, parents and teachers, do after identifying these children based on the guidelines? What steps, that are legal and okay by the Human Rights Commission, should we take?

Should these kids be exorcised? Be locked up? Be tortured? Be forced to listen to 1Malaysia songs? Please enlighten us.

Not Confused: I just had to pick myself up off the floor after collapsing in pain from laughing. I just didn't believe that there were still people walking the planet with such ridiculous views.

I'm surprised that the guidelines didn't add the advice to parents that if they discover their offspring going to the gym and wearing such clothes, they should immediately apply electro-shock therapy by attaching electrodes to each side of the child's head and switching on the electric current.

That should "cure" the miscreant of any such disgusting habits.
