EC's Wan Ahmad, enough of excuses

VOXPOP ‘You have purposely set out to manipulate election results. For this, you have actually committed treason.'

Please respect the constitution, EC tells Bersih

Guna Otak Sikit: Election Commission (EC) deputy chairperson Wan Ahmad Wan Omar, no one is disrespecting the constitution. You are the one who is disrespecting the office you are occupying by not performing the duties which you are supposed to carry out.

There are so many electoral issues raised and you are not able to answer any of them. Instead you make sweeping statements, which not only reflect the poor integrity of you as a person but also the whole election process.

Imagine the electoral roll, which is so important that one additional vote can determine the winner or loser, and yet it has been found to be full of errors.

Any true EC officer would have resign in shame but yet you make excuses after excuses.

Hmmmmmmmm: You continue to give excuse after excuse why this or that can't be done. We've said it before and we'll say it again, "If you can't do it, please step aside and let others who can, do it."

Unspin: The key words used by this despicable person are "constitution", "Agong" and "Malay".

It is par for the course if these three words come from the mouth of Perkasa leader Ibrahim Ali but for the EC to spin this matter into a royal or racial issue is a complete disgrace.

By the way, Perkasa is very quiet these days.

VGEORGEMY: Wan Ahmad, it's been said that attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail doesn't care about the royal commission of inquiry (RCI) commissioners nor has he any respect for them by returning the file relating to Teoh Beng Hock's death to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The AG is not giving any respect to Agong's appointment of the RCI and its report. Do you have any comments?

Lin Wenquan: The fact EC members were appointed by the king and consented by his brother sultans does not mean you are untouchable and indispensable.

It is painfully obvious that you are inefficient, insolent and brazenly biased to Umno-BN in all your utterance and actions to defraud the people, who are merely demanding changes to the glaring aberrations and inaccuracies in the electoral rolls.

You have circumvented problems raised by conveniently shifting the blame to reasons that are by now much jaded, preposterous, unpalatable and an affront to our intelligence.

You need the public to identify your errors and acts of omission, only then you shake off your comatose state to rectify them.

Time and space, commodities you have solicited have been granted but were evidently wasted by feet-dragging and inertia. So don't use the king's name in vain to protect your incompetence and dereliction for the rotten state of EC.

Make no mistake about it - we pay your wages, not Umno-BN. We want accountability not crap.

Quigonbond: It's funny how the EC, not commanding the confidence of Malaysians, go on to behave like the job of playing referee in elections is its birthright.

Perhaps Bersih 3.0 should petition to the Agong to remove this commission and have a new one.

Gun begins to smoke in Scorpene deal

Anonymous_3f4a: The rakyat shouldn't be surprised at all by the latest revelation. For all we know, Umno have got more assets overseas than in this country.

In fact, there is very little difference between funds belonging to the government and those belonging to Umno and its leaders. The demarcation lines between them are rather blurred, one can't tell from one to the other.

Just take, for example, the money laundering case in Hong Kong involving known cronies of Musa Aman, Sabah's chief minister.

The public have heard very little since the arrest of the four individuals allegedly linked to Musa. Rumours had it that the case is now closed after intervention from the top to acknowledge that the money belongs to Umno.

How is it that an illegal act done in the name of Umno is deemed legal , is mind-boggling. It's how things work in Malaysia.

Is it any wonder why some RM900 billion in illicit money outflows have been attributed to Malaysia by a New York-based international agency?

YF: So what? The local Malays that represent the bulk of the voters aren't really interested in the outcome of this case. They'll continue voting for Umno because it's "Malay".

Moontime: In the end, it all boils down to these: money, power and greed. Even if the guns are smoking, nothing significant will come out of it as the French authorities will never dare to subpoena our PM in the course of its investigation.

BN leaders know that if they lose power, all hell will break loose, cans of worms spilled and exposed skeletons from their closets will keep us entertained and fascinated for years. Not to mention the lawsuits, CBTs (criminal breach of trust) and criminal charges awaiting them.

That's why I'm confident that BN and the EC will continue to collaborate and work hand in glove to ensure they remain in power.

So, what can we the ordinary rakyat do? Support Bersih 3.0 and let them know that their time to go has come.

Anonymous #41809171: Oh my, soon Najib and Umno are going to sink deeper and faster than the two Scorpene submarines...
