Tough rules are for prisons, not hospitals

COMMENT A wheelchair-bound patient sent her daughter to fill her prescription at the Perak Road clinic in Penang on March 16. She arrived at 12.20pm, five minutes before the counter usually closes for the extended lunch hour on Fridays.

The pharmacist on duty was adamant that the lunch break had begun and that drugs were only being dispensed in cases of emergency.
