Sacked former Selangor PAS commissioner Hasan Ali’s call for PAS Youth to purge the party of “parasites” from within holds no sway, says its chief Nasrudin Hassan.

NONE “I am unaffected or influenced by any parties, my struggle is based on my principles, Islamic principles and party policies,” said Nasrudin ( right ) when contacted yesterday.

Hasan had last Saturday called on PAS Youth and Ulama to move from within while he moves from outside to purge the party of “parasites”.

The “parasites”, he had said, were the non-ulamas who practiced accommodative politics with PAS’ Pakatan Rakyat partners and have veered the party away from its original struggle.

Asked about Hasan’s claim on party “parasites”, Nasrudin replied: “I've not detected any.”

Traitors will be filtered

He added that he was unconcerned by the claim as those who are sincere will remain in the party and those who are insincere would eventually leave.

“We, as a wing that operates under the party, will fight for Allah and to uphold Islam, justice and syariah, we will continue to carry out our party policies.

“Those who betray the party and go against its policies, they will be naturally filtered out,” he said.

Hasan, who was on Jan 8 sacked by the PAS central committee for activities that went against party policies, claimed that it was perpetrated by “parasites” bent on removing him from the party’s leadership.
