Launched: 25,000 copies of 'Extravagant Rosmah'
PKR-linked NGO Solidarati Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) launched a 16-page booklet titled Penjelasan Isu Cincin, Imelda Rosmah Boros (Extravagant Imelda Rosmah: the ring issue explained), at the PKR office in Rembau yesterday afternoon, which it wants to distribute to the rural Malays.
PKR-linked NGO Solidarati Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) launched a 16-page booklet titled Imelda Rosmah Boros: Penjelasan Isu Cincin, (Extravagant Imelda Rosmah: the ring issue explained), at the PKR office in Rembau yesterday afternoon.
SAMM chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin said 25,000 copies have been printed and copies are now being distributed to members of the public, especially Malays living in the rural areas.
"The booklet explains the chronology of the events related to the RM24.45 million diamond ring, in which I also answer the allegation that I'm tying to tarnish Rosmah's image." he said, referring to the wife of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
"In this booklet I also raise a few questions that only Rosmah Mansor and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) can answer.
"I have also attached new evidence to back my claim about the ring in this booklet," he added.
Among the issues Badrul Hisham, who is better known by his blog name Chegubard, raises in this book is why the Customs form for taking items out of the country was signed by an officer from the Customs Service/Training Department headquarters at Putrajaya but not by an officer at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
"Why are amendments made in this form, Form K2, done manually on the date of the so-called shipment, and done without the initials of the officer doing so?
"All these raise doubts about the Form K2, as if done to save Rosmah", Chegubard said.
He said SAMM would distribute the booklet in Malay-majority rural areas as well as purported Umno 'fortress constituencies' as the Malays in these areas rely heavily on information from pro-UMNO media such as Utusan Malaysia, TV3 and RTM.
"The Malays in this target group are not aware about the extravagant lifestyle of Rosmah.
"Furthermore, the pro-Umno media never reported the whole issue surrounding the diamond ring costing RM24.45 million truthfully.
"This booklet will explain everything and expose the extravagant lifestyle of Rosmah, including her expenses during her trips overseas," Chegubard said.
The event was attended by, among others, PKR vice-president Chua Jui Meng, Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh, Negri Sembilan PAS commisioner and Paroi assemblyperson Mohd Taufek Abdul Ghani and Port Dickson assemblyperson M Ravi.
