The traitors who sold our nation to immigrants

vox populi small thumbnail 'Thousands of Filipinos and Indonesian to become citizens in Sabah in exchange for votes. The same is happening in the peninsula now.'

RCI on Sabah illegal migrants unlikely, says cable

Disgusted: The people who sold Sabah to Umno are the Sabahan traitors from PBS, Upko, PBRS, etc - leaders like Pairin Kitingan, Bernard Dompok, Maximus Ongkili and Joseph Kurup of Kadazandusun (the largest ethnic group).

They have supported Umno and allowed it to increase the Muslim population via Project M by granting citizenship to immigrants (whether illegal or legal immigrants) and giving them identity documents known as IC (identity card), and subsequently MyKad, and allowing them to register as voters to keep Umno-BN in power.

Dhammika: This Wikileaks cable is shocking. Previously this news was considered rumours, but now it seems to be the truth. Dr Mahathir Mohamad has sowed very bad seeds under his premiership. The roots are now too deep to be eradicated.

Freemsia: Want to know who the ultimate traitor of Malaysia and its people (both Malays and non-Malays alike) is? It is not Anwar Ibrahim. It is not Mat Sabu. It is none other than that ex-PM of ours.

Anonymous_4056: A royal commission of inquiry (RCI) on Sabah illegal immigrants? Oh my God, isn't that asking too much?

Project M is Mahathir's masterpiece. It kills so many birds with just one stone. No need to worry about those so-called component parties whose loyalty is questionable and no need for those non-Malay votes too.

On this Project M alone, Umno can win the general election handsomely. Now, comes GE13 they are at it again - this time in the peninsula.

Dzulkefly Ahmad: So it's true - Mahathir allowed thousands of Filipinos and Indonesian to become citizens in exchange for votes. The same is happening in the peninsula now. Mahathir is the biggest traitor to Malaysia.

Anonimous Z: This confirms all the rumours we had been hearing in the 90s.

First, we must ensure that this scandal be exposed and known to as many rakyat as possible, especially those in the rural areas and the Internet illiterates, by creating all sorts of awareness programmes.

Secondly, we must really seriously think how to have this biggest traitor, and those who participated and were involved in giving citizenship to illegal immigrants, charged for treason.

Do190811: The problem is how to get the kampung folks to fully realise/understand the seriousness of the long-term consequences of this illegal immigration? How to get them to wake up and be wise at the ballot box before they are out-numbered by the migrants?

It is only when these Malay kampong folks and the other Chinese and Indians in small towns/villages wake up, that Malaysia has a chance to get ahead in an increasingly competitive global world.

Anonymous_3e86: These politicians don't understand the long-term consequences of such illegal immigration. If this continues, the majority of the population will be unskilled immigrants. Our children would rather migrate (legally) elsewhere to make a living.

This country will eventually end up like Somalia. This BN government would rather give citizenship to these lowly-skilled foreigners than to foreign professionals who are married to Malaysians. The country will be doomed if BN continues to rule (and plunder) this country.

Mengxiang: These Umno politicians are prepared to sell their souls and country to remain in power. Sabah and Sarawak should have, and could have, gone it alone without merging with the peninsula.

Now our blessed country is pretty much screwed up, no thanks Mahathir. As they say, if you want to associate with a snake, be prepared to be bitten.

Kgen: Don't those Umno idiots realise that Philippines has a claim over Sabah? Admitting millions of Filipinos into Sabah will make it easy for the Filipinos to exercise their claim when they choose to.

Tailek: Mahathir betrayed all the genuine Sabahans - they are now probably a minority in their own state - and yet Sabahans continue to vote for Umno. You deserve what you get.

Archbishop backs polls reforms before next GE

2cts Worth: Archbishop Murphy Pakiam, do you know what you are asking - for PM Najib Razak to clean up the electoral system before the election? You are asking him to give up his premiership. You might as well be asking for the moon.

Docs: Umno and Najib is not bothered about the Christian votes. Hell, Umno is not bothered about the Chinese, Indian and other non-bumiputera voters either.

After all, remember the famous words of Malacca Chief Minister Ali Rustam and Setiawangsa MP Zulhasan Rafique, who told the rakyat that Umno does not need to rely on any of the non-Malay votes as the Malay votes alone will give BN a comfortable GE victory?

Honest: There are those who capitalise on vital issues to redeem themselves. The archbishop does not seem serious or sincere to me.

Deliverance: Agreed. Pakiam is a political pundit. He has consistently proven himself to be unworthy of the archbishop's position. There is nothing in which he does which is not tainted with self-interest; a Mahathir of sorts in religious frock, masquerading as a dove of peace.

My Catholic friends have been praying for his deliverance. We should as well. Even our pastors and elders consider Pakiam a Trojan Horse. Sadly, history is littered with these self-seekers. God help us.

BernieBaby: Different styles - Archbishop Pakiam and Bishop Paul Tan. Ultimately their goals are same, it's the flock that they are taking care of.

Have great respect for both of them and their approaches. Malaysian politics involves religion, whether we like it or not. It has been close to 500 years of Catholic presence in Peninsular Malaysia. They have contributed much to Malaysia.

Pastors and elders should take note, Pakiam is no Trojan Horse.

Ruben: Archbishop Pakiam has taken a lot of unnecessary flack and criticism from a number of quarters. I really think it is very unfair.

As a Malaysian and a Catholic, I must defend the man. We must not forget that it was ultimately the archbishop who brought the ‘Allah' issue to court. He hosted the Christmas open house with the intention of forging and strengthening interfaith ties. He has spoke on numerous times on the moral decay due to the cronyism and corruption plaguing our country.

Now he has strongly affirmed that GE should only take place after the electoral reforms are completed and we still want to crucify him? Come on, let's give him our support.

Stories: Electoral reforms my foot! It won't happen.
