Parangs, petrol bombs: Hard to believe the cops

your say 'Maybe if the police does some forensic work, they can even find Anwar's semen stain in one of the bags or better yet, on one of the Bersih T-shirts.'

Cops link parang, petrol bombs seizure to Bersih

Joker: Why would Bersih members (if it was really them) leave Bersih T-shirts there? They would be wearing it during the march before 'collecting' all those parangs and petrol bombs, right?

How convenient for the police that although no one was arrested, the police became aware of these weapons due to an 'anonymous tip'. And yet, the police were able to immediately and identify without a doubt, who all these belonged to as there, along with all those weapons, are brand new Bersih T-shirts still in their plastic packaging.

Maybe if the police does some forensic work they can find Anwar Ibrahim's finger prints and semen stain in one of the bags or better yet, on one of the Bersih T-shirts.

Anonymous_4196: We've heard so many similar claims. Remember the 14-year-old student Aminulrasyid Amzah case ? The police claimed that Aminulrasyid and his friend were gangsters and they found parang in the teenagers' car, which was later found to be untrue.

Remember businessman Chia Buang Hing, who drove a vehicle with an expired road tax. He was beaten up by the police and threatened to plant drug in his car. So, how can we believe the police?

Cala: The police's claim in this case is plainly ludicrous. Where is the incentive structure for organisers of Bersih 2.0 to fan disturbance by resorting to "20 parang, 36 petrol bombs, and some ball bearings"? Their goals are so clear and noble. They just do not sit well with that weaponry.

Anonymous_4135: Do you really think we are so stupid? Do you really believe we would swallow up this cock-and-bull story hook, line and sinker? This is the reason why Bersih is needed.

Fairness for all: This is a really good joke. When is the PDRM going to understand that the rakyat have brains unlike them, and we make use of it again unlike them.

Firstly, how did the police know where to find the items, in pots around the city. Such a ridiculous story. We know how famous the police is for planting weapons just to frame someone and this clearly has the signature of the police.

Bersih supporters are not that stupid to plant weapons with the Bersih T-shirts, they might as well also leave their identity cards or PAS, DAP, etc, membership cards. This is the height of stupidity of the police.

Mirror on the Wall: Pray tell, do you expect anyone to believe this hogwash of the discovery of weapons? Most likely, it was found in the vicinity of Perkasa/Umno supporters and planted near a ‘temple'.

AnakBangsaMalaysia: Every time the police need to manufacture an excuse to 'justify' their illegal arrests or shootings, they will conveniently 'find a parang/guns/drugs' at the scene: The police 'found a parang' in Aminulrasyid's car after the scrawny teenager had been shot in the back of the head.

The police 'found a parang' in the car of the businessman whom they robbed him of RM13,000.

The police always 'find parangs' in the aftermath of mass shootings of 'robbers' - particularly Indian men - where there is conveniently never any witness left alive to tell the truth. This is adding the crime of fabrication of evidence to the long, long, long list of crimes and abuses committed by the police and their Umno-BN masters.

Since the police are so desperate to frame Bersih as a 'threat to national security', they might as well go all the way and accuse Bersih of stockpiling nuclear missiles, space-based lasers and unstoppable killer robots to conquer Malaysia instead of using pathetic parangs.

Bender: This story doesn't surprise me one bit. Not because I expect the rally would end up bloody with parangs and molotov cocktails, but because the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) turns super efficient overnight, just a couple days before the rally begins.

With all of the crackdowns that have been happening these last two weeks, it shouldn't be too hard to imagine that the police would come up with such a play sooner or later. Just another way of saying: ‘See, we were right all along, these Bersih guys are really up to no good.' Then Utusan Malaysia and TV3 will have a field day showing 'the truth' about Bersih.

I would rather die in the rally than swallow all these lies.

Mingxiang: How neat and convenient. Put 44 Bersih T shirts among the cache of weapons and voila Bersih 2.0 is involved. Orang tanam padi, polis ni tanam parang belak.

Swipenter: Anyone arrested to prove that these parangs, petrol bombs, etc, belong to Bersih 2.0 supporters out to wreak havoc? Or, as usual, no one is caught, so everything is still hazy and fuzzy and up to the police to say what they deem fit.

Fabricating evidence to frame, demonise and derail Bersih 2.0 is not beyond some people.

Rayfire: So now we know where all the confiscated Bersih T-shirts went. Nice try, Polis Raja Di Malaysia.

Malaysian Born: It's an obvious and transparent frame-up. The authorities should get to the bottom of it and prosecute the people involved to the full extent of the law, no ISA bullshit, no EO crap. It doesn't matter if it turns out to be senior members of ruling political parties or riffraff - these people must seen to be prosecuted without cover-ups.

PBWin: Why in the world would anyone use plastic bottles to make Molotov cocktails, it won't even break when it is thrown to create a large amount of ignited fire as it is supposed to, maybe they will open the lid and spill the contents before igniting the fire.

Where did all the confiscated Bersih T-shirts gone to? As for the parangs, we know every police patrol car has one for their own ‘protection'.
