DAP racist? MCA, go look in the mirror

vox populi small thumbnail 'Race-based political parties calling others racist, this is why Malaysia is so interesting. I can't imagine the world without MCA clowns; it would be really boring.'

MCA Youth chief joins chorus in calling DAP 'racist'

AyerTawar: We could see it coming. MCA is now using DAP as its punching bag to regain favour with Umno. It is now following the footstep of Perkasa, Utusan Malaysia , Umno and Dr Mahathir Mohamad in blaming DAP for their own rot.

MCA is hoping that the extremists like Perkasa and Utusan will now find a common excuse to be friends with MCA again. Like a dog that was kicked and beaten by its master, MCA has to quietly sneak back to Umno by barking hard to defend the master.

Perakian: Race-based political parties calling others racist, this is why Malaysia is so interesting. I can't imagine the world without MCA clowns; it would be really boring.

James Dean: Wee Ka Siong, please go to the nearest mirror and take a good look at the yourself. The guy you are looking at in the mirror is a top racist, holding the deputy education minister's post from the racist party MCA. Your silence on the ‘Interlok' dispute makes you an even worse culprit but that is expected of a racist.

Anonymous: Wee Ka Siong is barking up the wrong tree. DAP has been around for 46 years and it has been fighting for a Malaysian Malaysia since day one. We should thank DAP for its existence, otherwise this country would have slipped backward at an even higher rate.

Talking about racist parties, why have you never attack your master Umno and its cohorts like Perkasa, Mahathir, Pembela and their tool, Utusan Malaysia ? MCA should just fold up now as no wise and sensible Chinese will support it anymore.

The fact that DAP does not get the support of the Malays is because BN has been using its three Ms (money, machinery and media) to scaremonger them and distort and twist facts to tarnish DAP's image.

But now the Malays begin to know who are the real culprits for the country's poor performance in the past 54 years. So Wee, you better wake up and direct your anger at your own party and your master in BN.

Loo Soon Fatt: DAP has been participating in elections since 1969 and was not too successful with the Chinese until March 2008. The big question Wee must ask himself is why the Chinese took so long to collectively not only back DAP but also PKR and PAS.

The answer is that they have totally lost hope with MCA/BN. They are ready to give Pakatan Rakyat a chance to take the country to safer ground.

Onyourtoes: Have the Chinese not given you, the Alliance and subsequently BN, enough support over the past 50 years? How dare you say the Chinese were naturally against the government?

Yes, we are against the government now and it is not just because the government is racist. This government is incompetent, corrupt and stupid. This government is not able to create value. This government only know how to jolly waste taxpayers' money and enrich themselves.

Righteous: Race-based parties are alright provided they don't practise racism, racial discrimination, exclusivity and supremacy. In the eyes of God, all are equal. When hunger, cold or sorrow strikes, all have the same feeling. Pride comes before a fall, they say. Wasalaam.

Docs: It looks like Umno has provided a rope for MCA to hang themselves in this ‘DAP racist' issue, and MCA has taken it.

PAS sees opportunity in sex video

Anonymous_40dc: Jawi has opted to be servant of the BN instead of a servant of Allah. If the three Datuk Ts are charged under ‘hukum qazaf', Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan should also be similarly charged.

And they will be found guilty as in both cases the accusers will not be able to produce four credible witnesses. The grand plan is to charge and convict Anwar Ibrahim and the only way to achieve that plan is to disregard Islamic law and opt for civil law.

M'sia1st: While Umno/BN and their media are propagating the unIslamic 'Islamic law' with the oath taking, PAS is just following a simple true Islamic law based on the Quran. If they are gentleman and brave enough, why not go to the Syariah Court?

They certainly won't allow it, otherwise all the three stooges shall be punished. That is why those people in Jawi are called servants of their political masters, not God.

Righteous: Before the truth could be established, Umno blew the issue open in the mainstream media, and now they sent their runners and foot soldiers to the interior of the Malay heartland to consolidate the perception of who ‘really' the actor is.

Yes, a few opposing opinions have been brought out from the PAS leaders, but that's democracy. And yet Pakatan Rakyat shows no cracks. Temptations have been placed before a few of their leaders, yet they are holding steadfast, except for the few stragglers whose political life span is coming to an end.

Anonymous: Issues that affect the nation like corruption, bad governance, cronyism, lack of accountability, racial and religious bigotry, inflation, poor public transportation and traffic congestion, exorbitant property prices, brain drain, racial polarisation and a host of other social and economic issues do not become Umno's focus.

But sodomy, pornography, 1Melayu 1Bumi and Utusan's bias reporting style are. Umno focuses on the wrong issues just to try to stop the rise of Anwar and Pakatan and at the same time endeavour to win the Malay rural votes.

Louis: The sex video hurts Umno more. The public, in general, do not care who the actor is. They are more interested in whether the police will charge the famous Datuk T for screening sex video. In fact, the project to tarnish Anwar's image failed miserably. The public are fed up with the authorities for letting the issue go on for so long.

The great 1Malaysia hijack

KPNG: All this about repackaging others' work sounds so familiar. I heard an entrepreneur from BP saying they did a very good R&D (research and development) project, but because of license requirements, the research findings were passed on to the authority.

To his disappointment, the licence was subsequently awarded to someone else whom (after licence was approved) got the cheek to turn to the entrepreneur to use his R&D findings, of course, with a fee.

Guess what, the entrepreneur turned to opportunities abroad, and that project went to waste. Alas, so will the country's economy.

SusahKes: 1Malaysia can be done sincerely, although it would involve much hard work, mindset change, even sacrifice of some of our established comfort zones. The one thing that I am equally sure of is that Umno/BN aren't the ones who can and would implement it.

They failed to clear the very first hurdle, and that is sincerity. Umno has none.

Against the Wind: So far I am not sure if the government has come up with what 1Malaysia stands for precisely. Can anybody refer me to an official document? The Malays and non-Malays interpret the concept differently. The Malays equate it with the 1Malay concept, while the non-Malays interpret it that they are accepted as an equal Malaysian.

M'siaKiniFan: 1Malaysia is maybe the biggest scam in the history of this country. In fact, most Malaysians don't understand what exactly is 1Malaysia, and when recently some quarters switched to 1Malay 1Bumi, it became clear.

Anonymous: If 1Malaysia is a thing, I'd gladly have flushed it down the toilet.
