Teoh strangled himself? Of course he did...

your say ‘Anwar punched himself’ during Dr M’s time. Now we are told Teoh Beng Hock ‘strangled himself’. We are the laughing stock of the world.’

Teoh inquest: It wasn't suicide, says Pornthip

Not Confused: I don't know whether to roll on the floor laughing or cry with despair. Sitting on the edge of my seat here. How can one possibly strangle oneself? This is a pure farce - with MACC’s Abdul Razak Musa trying to demonstrate how one can strangle oneself (and fails, of course). The entire proceedings would make a good Whitehall farce if it wasn't such a sad and serious subject.

BTN: Got a good laugh this morning when reading about how one can strangle oneself. Really hilarious. Thanks for making my day, Abdul Razak.

Anonymous: This Abdul Razak should go back, stand in front of a mirror and cekik himself. Malu, malu lah.

Chipmunk: You go, girl! Dr Pornthip Rajasunand, the rakyat (the true citizens of Malaysia) are with you all the way. Tell them nothing but the truth, as these government people need a lesson or two to know that they are not mightier then the rakyat. All the best.

Luke Skywalker: We had ‘Anwar punched himself’ from Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Then we have Teoh Beng Hock ‘strangling himself’ from Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) lawyer. Of course, he did. Now we have Malaysia a laughing stock of the world.

Pakman: The truth will finally prevail. Pornthip exhibits how real professional pathologists with vast experience review their cases. Unfortunately, such a culture does not exist amongst our local pathologists, mainly due to political pressure. The same thing is happening in the Sodomy II saga.

Ablastine: It is becoming obvious that somebody put something like a noose around Teoh's neck, probably to frighten him. But not knowing that it was too tight, it killed him instead of frightening him.

To hide the evidence of the crime, they simply threw him down, knowing that falling from that height can cause multiple severe injuries that might be able to hide the strangulation marks.

Also, they can attribute the fall to suicide or even an accident. At the spur of the moment, they chose the former, not knowing that he was going to get married the next day. It is likely, therefore, that the murderer/s is/are one or few of those in the MACC gang responsible for torturing people to get information.

He or they is/are likely to be former police or special branch personnel for whom torturing and killing while interrogating suspects is the order of the day. The criminal is likely to be a sadist who likes to inflict pain on others to satisfy his lust. A CSI reconstruction.

Cala: Are Pornthip's findings correct? If she is confident of her findings, one way to show her competency on the matter is by way of publishing the Teoh case in a reputable medical journal. It will then be up to the comments from medical fraternity to judge her and compare her findings with the findings of MACC’s Peter Vaneziz.

Md Imraz Ikhbal: This entire inquest into Teoh Beng Hock's death is a complete waste of money and time. Everything will be circumstantial and will ultimately be the word of one expert against another.

Even if murder can be proven, there is still the arduous task of identifying and proving the guilt of the culprit. And if against all odds, we actually prevail, did we forget who's political stooge the attorney-general is? Do we really expect the AG, of all people, to prosecute the government or any of its servants?

This government will never admit their wrong and public perception has already formed. The politicians will continue feasting on this entire saga in hope for further political mileage come the next general election.

There simply can be no justice for Beng Hock in this life; just lots of mileage opportunities for politicians and fees for lawyers and experts. That is perhaps why God ordained the afterlife. So we may all be judged and divine justice served

Kgen: If Teoh was alive during the fall, there would be a pool of blood where the body was. This is common with all suicide victims who jump from great heights. However, there was minimal blood around Teoh's body, which means his heart had stopped pumping.

If he was conscious, he would instinctively tried to break his fall with his hands and break his wrists, but there were no such injuries. And what about the strangulation marks and the anus puncture?

There's little doubt that Teoh was already dead when he was thrown to cover their murder. To these cruel people, it was nothing more than throwing a sack of potatoes out of their window.

Lover Boy: Razak attempted to strangle himself? Hello? Gobind Singh Deo, you should ask him next to demonstrate how Teoh suffered the anal tear. He’ll probably say Teoh did it himself. Then ask Razak how it is done.

MACC, kalau nak tipu orang dapat la yang ada otak sedikit. Razak ini nak cekek diri sendiri pula, tengok mati tak.

TPN: The MACC prosecution head says Pornthip's university from which she graduated is not recognised in Malaysia. Well, what is the standard of our universities, anyway? Utter rubbish. Our graduates are not recognised overseas. At least Thai grads are recognised in other countries.

Urkidding: Her degree not recognised? Come on. Malaysian Chinese School Unified examinations also are not recognised by the Malaysian government but are recognised by top universities all over the world, including the top three in Asia. How do you explain that?

Li Ting Rui: This MACC lawyer says that Pornthip's qualification is not recognised in Malaysia. Undoubtedly, this MACC lawyer was educated in Malaysia. Not one of our universities qualifies for the world’s top 500. What is he talking about? We, the public, do not believe Teoh Beng Hock committed suicide. Dr Pornthip's testimony reinforces this perception.

Myop101: I like this part: ‘Abdul Razak Musa then puzzled the court when he stated: "If (Teoh Beng Hock) was unconscious, his body would be heavier." Retorted the pathologist: "There would be no difference. Scientifically, how could weight loss happen according to consciousness?"

Phra Ong Chao: Great news for those wanting to lose weight. Stay conscious and you shall be lighter, says the MACC lawyer.
