Former DAP selangor organizing secretary Tee Boon Hock today submitted his appeal against the party disciplinary committee's decision to sack him as a party member.

 

Tee, who was today sacked as Klang municipal councillor, submitted his application and a 12-page document - including the support letters he signed - to the party headquarters in Petaling Jaya this afternoon.

He was accompanied by about 10 supporters.

Tee also brought with him a petition signed by 26 representatives of Klang DAP branches to show the support he has gathered since his sacking.

In the petition, chairpersons, vice-chairpersons and secretaries of the branches signed to indicate their support for Tee's appeal.

 

"I want to proove my innocence," said Tee when asked what made him decide to file the appeal.

 

The appeal will be deliberated on by DAP's central executive commitee (CEC),  under the party constitution Clause 7 Article 3.

"My humble appeal to the CEC to give me a fair hearing. If possible, allow me to give a slide show presentation, so I can rebut all charges against me."

He adds that he has the support of 26 out of 38 DAP branches in Klang.

MB's prerogative

Tee, however, declined to comment as to whether his appeal has the backing of any particular leader.

Tee also refused to comment on the announcement by Selangor MB Abdul Khalid Ibrahim that he has been sacked as councillor.

On the charge that he had breached the code of ethics, Tee said: "It is up to the MB to decide and interpret."

Tee was sacked by the party disciplinary committee after allegedly misusing Selangor exco member Ronnie Liu’s letterhead and seal to issue support letters for companies, including one which is linked to his family member.

In total, the 20 companies were alleged to have tendered for RM1 million in government contracts.

Following this, Tee cried conspiracy and claimed that there may be rivals within the party who feel threatened by his prospects at the DAP party elections to be held by year end.
