The end is near for Samy Vellu

your say 'It's puzzling why the rest of CWC are not surfacing to finish off the weak and wounded Samy. The game is over...'

MIC sec-gen joins chorus of discontent

Chipmunk: S Samy Vellu, you are just getting back what you did 40 years ago when you called good old VT Sambanthan to quit. So now you get to taste your own medicine.

Murugessan, I take my hat off for you for making that bold statement. To all the remaining CWC (central working committee) members, if you still think you have some conscience left, please sit together to agree on one thing - to vote Samy Vellu and Vell Paari out. You will then see a change in MIC.

Thirty-one years have passed. Don't let the Indians suffer more than this.

Yuvan: I hope this domino effect will continue until Samy Vellu is forced to step down. Samy Vellu said he needs time to revamp MIC and to train his deputy to take over. Where on earth he is going to find time to do these things?

He will be too busy signing letter after letter sacking party leaders and members who voice dissent. He will only have time fighting 'tooth and nail' to keep his MIC presidentship until September 2011 or it could even go beyond that date if all the CWC members and his loyalists have not deserted him by then.

Rubystar: Fight them, Samy. I am all for you so that you can destroy MIC totally and completely. You have been taking the Indians for a jolly ride all these years and now is payback time. Good old Samy will hit back and stay on for yet another year to clean up some files.

M Suresh Kumar: SK Devamany, how can MIC represent the Indian community when Maika shares purchased 27 years ago is today sold at below its purchase price? What happened to Telekom shares given to Indians?

After 32 years as president, can we know how much Samy Vellu and his family worth? How much is Vell Paari paid monthly by the Maika board? You cannot ignore the fact Samy will leave only when those after him promise that he will never be questioned. You know who he has learned this from? The Pharaoh.

Gandhi: M Saravanan and P Kamalanathan won't come out like S Murugessan because they are lackeys of Samy. It's puzzling why the rest of CWC are not surfacing to finish off the weak and wounded Samy. The game is over and all the timid MIC leaders should at least get some publicity in this general uprising to bring the downfall of the chronic megalomaniac Samy.

Post-Samy MIC must get rid of all those who have a blemished record. All eligible candidates for the general elections must go through a panel. Nepotism, favouritism, family or clan factors must never play a part in choosing candidates.

Ja Min: The delegates and the grassroots must rise and get rid of SV (Samy Vellu) and his family before the rot can be stopped. SV's son claimed that Umno is behind the move. Therefore, Umno must have seen the reason for wanting SV to go. Even DM (Dr Mahathir Mohamad) has said that SV had overstayed his welcome, and this from a man whom SV had served for 22 years.

Anonymous: It is becoming more and more clear that this party is breaking up. It began with the Hulu Selangor by-election and soon the party will see its demise. MIC is becoming clay in the hands of Umno.

Confused: The only way you can make Samy Vellu retire or step down as the MIC president is to confer him the title 'Tun', just like Ling Liong Sik and the rest. He needs to know that his safety is guaranteed just in case they will dig up all his 'shit' that he has committed. Just look at PKFZ (Port Klang Free Zone), no one can touch Ling Liong Sik. So Samy wants to have the same safety net.

Indhumathi: Dear Samy Vellu, how are you going to react to this new development of your key office bearers telling the world that what you did in sacking the recent MIC central working committee members is wrong?

Now all it takes is a few more CWC members to disagree with your tyrannical act and we will have history in making in MIC - the ousting of the president.

Cala: What a sad chapter to a man who claims he has done his best for the Indian community for 30 years. But he forgets something: he who has the hearts of the people has the kingdom to his side.

Vell Paari apologises to Umno

Anonymous: What a disgrace! Vell Paari and MIC pleading for forgiveness to Umno and its leaders. Please plead instead to the Indians. Your father, who has been a president for the Indians for almost 31 years, did nothing to help them.

You, Samy Vellu, only enriched yourself. The poor Indian plantation workers were deprived of a roof on their head and you cheated them with the Maika shares. Please kneel and asked for forgiveness from the Indian community.

Samuel K: He (Vell Paari) deserves all the negative remarks directed at him. I am one of his father's victims, who was conned at a tender year of 23 to 'invest ' in Maika. Today I am 53.

Indians in this country, like everywhere else, have to work for themselves and not wait for someone to help. Otherwise, we are going deeper into poverty and will become a burden and liability to the society at large.

Kgen: When the master shouts, the dog quiets its barking and slinks off into the corner.
