1Malaysia = Grateful Chinese, Indians

vox populi big thumbnail 'Indians and Chinese should be grateful to the Malays for granting them citizenship? Is this what they call 1Malaysia?'

Kapar MCA stages walkout at BN confab

MY2Centsworth: At last, MCA has shown that they have the guts to face up to these Umno leaders who have no respect for the dignity of the other races. As for MIC's S Murugesan, you are a miserable excuse for an MIC secretary-general. They put up a chair for you on stage, and that makes it all go away?

Truth Seeker: Indians and Chinese should be grateful to the Malays for granting them citizenship? Is this what they call 1Malaysia? Why talk about the history? We know how Umno amends history according to its wishes.

We poor Malays, Chinese, Indians, Sabah and Sarawak natives and Orang Asli contributed to the building of this nation. Umno will never repent, and the BN component parties will never come out of their master-servant mindset.

Eugene : Isn't this clear enough? Why does it take so long for them to realise that BN is Umno and Umno is BN? Umno does not care about the other component parties and would do without them as far as they are concerned.

As the saying goes "once-bitten, twice shy" but they have been bitten so many times and yet still unable to realise it.

SusahKes: So Song Kee Chai, if you felt insulted, then why are you still singing songs (pun intended) with Umno? Are you that dumb enough to think that PM Najib Razak is going to be Mr Justice League of Malaysia and correct the "insensitive" Noh Omar? You know Umno has screwed the country left, right and centre, but you still want to be manja-manja with Umno.

Do you still remember what Umno tried to do when they made overtures to PAS last year? Do you think Umno gave two ounces as to how MCA/MIC feels?

Gen2: MCA and MIC still trying to pretend that 1Malaysia will work? Selangor Umno deputy chief Mohd Nor Omar practically called them 'pendatang' though not in direct words. Just like the Najib's ex-aide Nasir Safar , they are people who are full of poison and hatred. Still no police action against the ex-aide?

Lim Chong Leong: It is so obvious that Umno treats BN like Umno and vice versa, and the other components are there only when they need the votes. So much so that Selangor BN convention organising chairperson Mohd Zin Mohamed asked what the issue was when the Umno song was played, which to him was only natural.

And Noh's speech again reminded non-Malays that we should be grateful for being granted citizenship by Malays. And MIC and MCA still sat there to take it. Next they will be grateful for cookie crumbs on the floor.

Black Mamba: Why can't the BN coalition members get it? You are just not part of the equation when your citizenship is still questioned after 53 years though you forefathers have toil blood, sweat and tears and some even sacrificing their lives.

Phra Ong Chao: This is such a great joke. All I can say is that non-Malay Malaysians who choose to be with the BN deserve to be treated that way. So, MCA and MIC members in this convention should not complain at all for the treatment they received. As Mohd Zin of Umno had clarified, it is only natural.

Myop101: Why protest now since it worked well for them all these years? Is it because there aren't enough bread crumbs falling off the table for them to feed on? Stop being a hypocrite. If you don't want to be treated as dogs, stop barking like one.

Karpal booted out as Apco row escalates

Jbss: Pandikar Amin Mulia, if you can't take the heat, then be fair to all parties. Justice must not only be done but seen to be done. You can't avoid the pressure by using your speaker's power just to shut up the opposition. You are a dictator all right. You are not fit to be a speaker.

Kevin: The Dewan Rakyat speaker has shown once again he is unjustly bias towards the opposition, flexing his muscles to his whims and fancies.

Professor: It is a real shame that Karpal Singh is fighting for the Apco's removal, whereas other so-called Muslim YBs of Umno readily accept Apco to be in government high-security-related areas. It is a real shame. By right, Umno must be at the frontline to protect the interest of the country, not exposing it to the enemies.

AkuMelayu: For a recalcitrant like Karpal, he deserve a longer suspension. How can you gain the respect of people, especially the voters who voted for you if you cannot respect the House. He doesn't want to learn, will not learn and can never ever learn.

Tired: If a lawyer, what more a senior and veteran like Karpal, has no respect for rules, then he deserved the suspension. In fact, I think all Pakatan MPs want to be suspended or that some action be taken against them. They purposely cari pasal . Why? Then they will emerge as heroes and champions of the rakyat, whereas the truth is that they just want to score political mileage.

Karpal, especially, ought to be censured. It seems nobody dares to tell him off because in our society, taking on the handicapped is a heinous and despicable act, although he might have crossed the lines. Because of this, Karpal can practically get away with murder, and he knows this. Karpal expect his arguments to be accepted all the times, or else he will throw his tantrums.

Chipmunk: I think YB Karpal is doing an excellent job compared to most other BN MPs. Be fair to those who fight for a good cause and if you want to say that YB Karpal will never learn, I think you should redirect to the BN YBs who ruled this country for donkey years and made the rakyat work like donkeys.

Fairnessforall: Well done Karpal Singh, you are among the very few MPs who fight for what is right and you have principles. Singh is truly king.

Najib says it's MIC but leaves Palanivel in limbo

People's Power: Dear S Samy Vellu, ask yourself if BN/Umno ever consulted you for Umno seats? Once the quota is given, it is up to the Indians to choose their leader.

Porchik: Now Samy should seriously consider joining Pakatan Rakyat, for at least the Indians in Pakatan will hormat (respect) him. He does not get any more hormat from MIC and BN, because MIC is a racial party. The future is multi-racial, Samy.

Parameswara: When the BN chief says 'Give three names', just give lah . Even if it means including your son's name. Why at this age do you want to show disrespect to the BN chief. You are in the ‘forgotten' zone, but want to prove that you are still relevant.

CB Mammen: Dr S Subramaniam is already worried about his ministerial post? Wow! Politicians will do anything to stay in power. Pure greed and selfishness are their daily mantras for survival. To think that leaders of this calibre are given the power and licence to champion and protect our rights ... makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time.
