'He wears a suit and tie, but shows his butt? Is this the behaviour we are to expect from our elected representatives? This is definitely not the behaviour of an educated and culturally-sensitive person.'
BN reps walkout following leader's suspension
2-Party Joe: He (Penaga assemblyperson Azhar Ibrahim) wears a suit and tie, but shows his butt? Is this the behaviour we are to expect from our elected representatives?
It doesn't matter whether he is from BN or Pakatan Rakyat. This is definitely not the behaviour of an educated and culturally-sensitive person. People, we need to rid ourselves of these kinds of representatives from our legislatures. This is shameful behaviour.
If you have disagreements with the other side, you should voice it out. But you don't resort to such lowly behaviour. Shame on you, Yang Berhormat, and shame on those who supported your behaviour. It is uncalled for and offensive.
Disgusted: Good, it's time to give these arrogant persons who can't take defeat gracefully a taste of their own medicine. He should have been suspended for one year without any pay as was the way with Karpal Singh's son when he insinuated in Parliament that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was involved in Altantuya Shaariibuu's murder.
Is there a video of this event on YouTube? If so, then spread the link and let the people judge for themselves if he (Azhar Ibrahim) is lying or telling the truth. These fellows always lie shamelessly when they are caught red-handed.
Pak Ubu: Primate politics practiced by another ‘primate politician' from Umno.
Dr Jacob George: Upload it on YouTube. Let the world see the kind of politicians and ‘leaders' that we have in this country. Yes, right on. This is primate-like behavior with or without the tie, silk suits, Merc, BMW, wives and concubines, and other parasites in tow. ‘Tak tahu malu'.
Mikail: ‘Dua tiga kerat' is a very derogatory, demeaning and insulting phrase to use on a person. The Malay language is lovely and has many nuances. Certainly, ‘dua tiga kerat' is not a ‘penjodoh bilangan' for people.
‘Yang indah itu bahasa. Orang berbahasa, kita berbudi.' A true Malay - even a simple, uneducated kampung person - always shows the highest respect when addressing others. Older people are addressed Pak Mat or Bang Mat or so.
I hope school children don't read about this incident. What if they thought it alright to use that phrase? Some child might follow suit and say, ‘Aku nampak dua tiga kerat keluarga hang di pekan kelmarin'. Please don't insult the Malay language - it is a very rich and noble language, and often spoken from the heart.
‘Lajak perahu boleh di undur, kerana kata rosak kota. Budi bahasa budaya kita. Bahasa jiwa bangsa. Kecil tapak tangan nyiru ditadahkan, padi semakin berisi semakin tunduk.'
Please set a good example, Datuk.
Wong Wing Foo: How can we address them as ‘Yang Berhormat'? They don't even know how to ‘hormat' themselves. There's nothing to respect about them that earns the title ‘Yang Berhormat'.
Kleo: Pakatan Rakyat, even if you had some kind of elaborate plot to silence Azhar, I say you don't have to. With his level of decency, whatever he speaks will be hot (and stinky) air.
Nyanyuk: This old man already has one foot in the grave and still doesn't know how to behave. Umno members, young and old, have shown their true colours - they're gangsters and bullies. Azhar, for your info, if you ‘mudah lupa', you are part of the opposition in Penang. So you better behave so that all the other Umno MPs in Penang do not lose face.
Sivananthan Kanapathipillay: Mr Speaker sir, please suspend these persons from every assembly sitting so that we can have pleasant and uninterrupted sessions to complete your legislative work.
