A businessman from Perak is offering RM10,000 to those who could provide information that would lead to the arrest of the 'killer' of political aide Teoh Beng Hock.

scah uuca talk 141205 nga kor ming This was revealed by Perak DAP secretary Nga Kor Ming, who however declined to disclose the identity of the businessman, apart from saying that he was a 'datuk'.

"Many people are anxious to know the circumstances leading to Teoh's death and this reward is a form of encouragement for those with information to come forward and assist the police probe," he said.

Teoh was a former school teacher and journalist with Sin Chew Daily before becoming the political secretary to Seri Kembangan assemblyperson and Selangor exco Ean Yong Hian Wah.

NONE Last Wednesday evening, Teoh was taken in for questioning by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on the alleged misappropriation of funds by his boss.

He was grilled in a marathon session which extended into the wee hours of the morning.

He was later said to have plunged to his death from the 14th-floor MACC Selangor office in Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam.

His family and friends however refused to believe that he had committed suicide.

'Senseless death'

Speaking about the MACC investigation, Nga said: "The whole thing was just about RM3,000 fund given to an NGO which had acknowledged receipt of the payment."

"Teoh was supposed to be a witness not a suspect. why did MACC detain him overnight. Now a young man is dead… a senseless death," he lamented.

Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan has said that 60 percent of the investigation into Teoh's death has been completed.

On another subject, Nga who is also Taiping MP said DAP Taiping was the first party branch in Perak to launch a mobile service unit named 'Kereta Rocket Perak'.

Instead of waiting for the people to come to the party's service centre, the branch wants to go to them to address their problems.
