Three days after her dramatic rescue in Singapore, teen model Manohara Odelia Pinot gets an ultimatum from the Kelantan palace to prove of her allegations of abuse inflicted by her husband, Tengku Mohammad Fakhry Petra, a Kelantan prince.

"Tengku Mohammad Fakhry has demanded for proof (of the alleged abuse). If she fails to show evidence within a week, he will pursue the necessary action," said businessman Mohd Soberi Shafii, a close friend to the prince.

Mohd Soberi told Malaysiakini when contacted today that Manohara and her mother Daisy Fajarina must also publicly apologise over the defamatory allegations they had leveled against the Kelantan prince.

He also said that any further action that will be taken against Manohara and Daisy through the court or the authorities will be decided once they engage a suitable lawyer - which will be done after the end of the ultimatum deadline of June 9.

On Sunday, the renowned Indonesian model and socialite, Manohara, was reported to have 'escaped' from her husband with the help of the American embassy authorities in a hotel in Singapore.

Speaking to the Indonesian media on Sunday, after fleeing to Jakarta, the former model claimed that she was sexually exploited and abused emotionally and physically by her husband of nine months.

In addition to that the alleged abuse, Manohara also claimed that she was injected with growth hormones so that she would gain weight and was kept locked in a room in the palace in Kelantan.

It was also reported that she will be undergoing medical check-up in Indonesia to back-up her claims.

However, Malaysiakini's attempt to contact Daisy in Jakarta has been futile.

The prince will not compromise

However, he added that the medical examination results would only be taken into consideration if it was independently conducted.

"We welcome it with the condition that the check-up must not be conducted in Indonesia or Malaysia and not done by a specialist who is an Indonesian or Malaysian. Do it elsewhere, let it be in Australia, the United States, England or France," said Mohd Soberi.

He added that Manohara and Daisy are also welcomed to lodge a complaint in Malaysia.

"Tengku will assure their safety here. We will ask for the cops to corporate with us," said Mohd Soberi.

Asked about Tengku Mohammad Fakhry, Mohd Soberi said: "The prince is calm but regrets the behaviour of his wife, who has smeared his reputation."

According to him, the prince is not interested in convincing his wife to reverse her decision to file for a divorce.

"He is not going to convince her (to not file for a divorce). But if she repents, he will consider forgiving her," said Mohd Soberi.

He added that Tengku Fakhry would not contact his wife or her mother-in-law in Jakarta because of the latter's failure to visit the Kelantan sultan who was ill while she was in Singapore.

"There is no compromise to Daisy's rude behaviour," said Mohd Soberi.
