The first thought that came to mind upon reading the names in Najib Abdul Razak’s new cabinet was – it could have been worse.

He dropped most of the ministers who were related to controversy or scandal in one way or another including Syed Hamid Albar (Home), Azalina Othman Said (Tourism) and Muhammad Muhammad Taib (Rural and Regional Development).
