Although I try hard not to pay too much attention to what seems like a witch hunt on Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak's recent national grouses, some justification should be weighted here on the issue.

And with that being said, I hope it won’t generate any more unwarranted comments from regardless of who's side you are on.

Come on guys, pick on a better issue (even if you are purely speculating). This is my first time commenting and with all due respect, I think it is about time readers put their arguments on the real deal, like the country's downward spiraling economy for quick referrence.

Honestly, I dont really care and I dont think we should be wasting our time on this sodomy scandal.

My point is, Najib probably said some of the dumbest things on national TV, (which Malaysian politician has not?) and even if he did put in the extra time and effort out of his busy schedule to advise the sodomy victim (whatever his name was) or meet him as a normal citizen, it was only the right thing to do for someone in his position as DPM.

Reason #1: Anwar's alleged sodomy issue is a national security issue. Definitely deserves the high-priority attention of everyone, not to mention the DPM.

Reason #2: Being a high-profile allegation, (judging from the reaction we saw in 1998 when Anwar was first accused), any traumatised sodomy victim would have been smart enough not to pick the wrong guy (in politics) to share his/her dilemma.

Although I dont understand why he didnt go straight to the prime minister.

Reason #3: No, this is definitely not your typical sodomy accusation (sorry, but I believe this is now a common crime in malaysia).

It's another similar allegation towards the very same guy who was convicted of the same crime before and is likely to be our future PM.

Reason #4: Having said that, I have reasons to believe the victim was given the special treatment from our DPM not because Najib is ‘so nice’. It was in national interests.

Now, note that I am not a Najib supporter, never will be and I speak mostly with benefit of the doubt given to all.

I don’t think sarcasm will make Najib more guilty than he already is (on moral grounds) and no, you may not see Najib for your problems unless they pose a fair amount of risk at the national level.
