I refer to the Malaysiakini report Dr M warns of unrest amid political turmoil .

It’s a clear to the rakyat that he (Tun) is inciting racial sentiments among the Malays by voicing out on imaginary attacks by the powerless non-Malays. Maybe he doesn’t want to understand or must have forgotten the difference between voicing on what is right and making an unfair demand.

When you ask the prime minister to resign, it might me an unfair demand. The Indian Malaysians only voice out about the equal rights based on the their population ratio. If their population is only 7%of the toral population, then give them what they need on that merit. It’s not an unfair demand.

As a former premier, he doesn’t seem to understand the simple mechanism. He is preaching for the Malay rights and the NEP policy but has the NEP have benefitted the northern states, the Malay heartland? Have the bumiputeras in Kelantan and Terengganu benefitted from the NEP which was initiated in 1970s?

Malaysia is a multiracial, multi-religious and multi-cultural country. We all have been living here in peace for more than 100 years. That’s the beauty of this soil. Malaysians will agree with me if I say that Mahathir is the culprit that planted the bitter seed of discord 22 years ago, when he took over the premiership from our lovely Hussein Onn.

Let me remind him of some of his wrongdoings - high-level corruption, awarding of contracts and tenders based on favoritism, lopsided concessions, full use of draconian laws, full control of the judiciary and poor governance among others.

The gods were kind to us in that the 12 th general election didn’t happen in his time. Poor Pak Lah became the victim. But even if Mahathir was still the prime minister, the tsunami would have happened anyway.

The tsunami of 2008 was not due to leadership but due to the self-realisation of the educated generation - it was a political revolution. To a certain extent, Pak Lah is still a nice guy, even though he nearly lost the elections, no retaliation took place.

If Mahathir was still the PM, either another black day maybe named as March 9 or 10 or 13 would have happened and he would have arrested half of the MPs under his famous ISA after which he would have called for another general election which would secured the BN for another 50 years.
