The 12th general election will be perhaps a very decisive and important one. It will basically decide where this country will be going in the following four to five years time after all the scandals we have gone through and are still going through - blatant marginalisation, blatant practice of racism, blatant violation of human rights, destroying of places of worship, crime rates hitting the sky, rising cost of living etc. Practically all talk and no walk.

Everyone gave Pak Lah a chance when he came on as the prime minister but despite a whopping 92 percent majority for him, I dare say he basically did almost nothing other than coming up with a half-past-six cabinet. Some say he is soft, some say he is the people's PM and some say he is open to too many varied opinions and that why he is like that. Many people also say he is a ‘sleeping beauty’.

I think it's only fair that we give a chance to the opposition to prove what they can do for the country. Give Penang to DAP/PKR, Terengganu and Kelantan to PAS and make sure BN has a tough time in Selangor, Malacca and everywhere else.

The time is to make a change is here, change for the better that is. We need changes before we go through another 4-5 years of uncertainties. Fifty years under the rotten and corrupted BN is way too long a time.

Voting is the most basic responsibility and right of every rakyat . By voting wisely and responsibly, you will be helping in a little way. And who knows, you may be part of history as well.
