Here are a few reminders to Malaysians with short memories and the younger generation brought up during the Dr Mahathir Mohamad era:

Do you know that Dr M was responsible for dismantling the English medium education system which was advocated strongly by Tunku Abdul Rahman? He not only advised the bumiputeras to forget English but also boasted that Bahasa Malaysia was just as good if not better. The wise Tunku warned that Science, Maths and Commerce must be taught in English but Dr M said not necessarily.

Now, he (Dr M) is hailed as 'great' in switching back to English the teaching of Maths and Science (he obviously forgot about Commerce).

And so you know that Dr M's 'Operation civil servants recruitment' made sure that the civil service - inclusive of the armed forces and universities - is headed by bumiputeras regardless of quality? Non-bumis were indirectly 'pressured' to seek better pastures elsewhere.

Now he encourages non-bumis to join the civil service. Why doesn't the MCA reveal the non-bumi quota for the armed forces and the police? There is an unwritten quota. And what about the universities? Good bumiputera academics like Dr Sharom Ahmat never got confirmed as vice- chancellor and instead were invited by foreign countries including Brunei. Even good bumiputeras judges not to his liking got 'blown away".

And do you know that Dr M agreed to have US go after Saddam? Now he is against Iraq war! What about his 'wars' against the Malaysian opposition? He only knows how to 'preach' like a loose cannon.

Just how can anyone 'admire' him is a joke and it just pains me to hear people agreeing to his shallow, one-sided and often outright inflammatory comments. He just seeks attention without which he is just so insecure.
