I really do not know what is the big fuss about our prime minister leasing or buying a private jet for his own use. Let's get serious about it, he is after all a first among equals. He is the main man in Malaysia.

Surely you cannot expect him to fly to East Malaysia with his cabinet members on a Royal Malaysian Air Force C130 Hercules or on a MAS or AirAsia flight. The PM cannot miss his important appointment as it is common knowledge that MAS and Air Asia are prone to delays and flight cancellations.

You certainly do not want our dear PM to be offloaded because his flight to London was over-booked.

The president of the US has his Air Force One, it is the pride of the Americans and it is literally the US president's office in the air if the film by the same name starring Harrison Ford is anything to go by. Why can't we have our prime minister and his cabinet flying in their own private jet? I would even venture to call it 'Malaysia Boleh One'.

Dear Malaysians, give our prime minister a break. So what if he supposedly ordered a luxury yacht from Turkey. You do not expect the prime minister of Malaysia to dock a 'tongkang' or a 'sampan' at the marinas of Monaco or Miami do you? Please give him a break. After all, you voted for him.
