The general perception today is that Malaysians are worse off than when Dr Mahathir Mohamad. was prime minister. Most are experiencing a decrease in quality of life and an increase in cost of living (petrol, electricity, toll, food, things, etc).

Crime is rising at worrying speed. Politicians have become arrogant and are bold enough to openly announce their criminal deeds without fear of retribution. The powerful are even questioning court judgments.

Government departments such as the police are challenging the PM and his government's orders and advice. All this does not bode well for the country.

While only the blind and insane would say that Dr. M's government was free from corruption and abuse, but things were not this bad for the common man then. Based on what we have seen so far, I doubt if things will change for the better, unless something drastic is done quickly.

Dr Mahathir - Malaysia needs you. Your current criticisms and advice from the outside will not be effective. You have to be at the helm again. We need you back as PM to set things right.
